Could someone explain the Dee Bost day joke
My 8th was the cutoff date for removing your name from the NBA Draft. Dee Bost somehow messed it up.

I believe he had to turn in his paperwork to remove himself from the draft and be eligible to return to State by May 8th. He submitted paperwork on May 9, could not return to State and wasn’t drafted.

I thought he did return to State. Didn’t he just have to sit out the fall semester?

Didn’t Stricklin pad the 2010-11 schedule with extra December games against teams like Centenary to get him and/or Sidney on the court sooner? Am I imagining that?

From the linked article.

In April 2010, he declared for the NBA draft.[3] In September 2010, he was suspended for 14 games by the NCAA for failing to withdraw properly before the NBA draft's deadline in May and failing to maintain his academics in the spring semester and offseason.[4] Following the suspension, Bost returned to the Bulldogs' line-up as team captain and went on to be named to the All-SEC second team for the second straight year. In 17 games, he averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.6 steals in 35.5 minutes per game.[1][2]
