May be crazy but I'm not getting this defense played well last night stuff...

Mullen postgame and then the postgame radio show raved about how they thought the defense played. They gave up 31 points. I mean, I guess that's good in comparison to giving up 40. We gave up about 5 big plays and not just big plays but very easy big plays. Now sure the offense was the overall culprit for why we didn't stay in the game and ultimately why we lost but we've had plenty of defenses that could manage to keep us hanging around despite having an inept offense and not give up 31 points. I still have very little confidence in what Torbush is going to put on the field week to week.

I just don't subscribe to the read and react style of defense that he brings. I don't like it when the other team's offense dictates the action. I prefer an attcking style of defense that brings pressure from different areas and keeps the opposing teams guessing. As our offense improves next year, it will be interesting to see if our defense improves as well. Mathematically, they should improve if our offense is sustaining drives and keeping them off the field. I guess we'll see.
