I haven't heard of any damage at the Dude, and it's a Saturday double-header--with a welcomed sunny Thursday, Friday and Saturday--so rain shouldn't be an issue.

Lines will not even be assessed until mid morning according to the reports I have read. I have also read a few reports that say that the Golden Triangle area will not have power back until Saturday morning. Don't know the accuracy of any of these reports but I think we will need to let them check the extent of the line damage and then make the call.

I would be surprised if they didn't have a generator at Dudy-Noble Field. But then again, LT was our AD.

I was at the Regional in 2000 when Tulane and Notre Dame were playing and the power got knocked out and they had to stop the game because of the weather- I didn't see a tornado, but there was definatley some HIGH wind and I remember all of this dirt blowing in my face. They actually finished that game that night, and of course the power was on by then. It was probably the most bizarre game I have ever been to.

I might be more worried about the phone lines down to the bullpen than anything if I was the coach of either team. Might need some walkie talkies. The games are scheduled for 2 and 5, so the lights shouldn't be too much of an issue until late in the second game.

Forgot that my brother called me from campus saying power was out across the city this afternoon.

That was supposed to take place Friday night and Saturday morning. The reason for the Saturday afternoon DH. This all takes a back seat at this point, however. Never seen such a weather phenomenon as we have experienced the past few weeks.
