Maybe Cohen should consider Bracewell for the closer job......He's on a 40 pitch count limit
Reed pitched WAY to damn much last year as a "closer". Granted, if it weren't for him, no way we sniff a Super Regional. But at the same time, last year has a lot to do with this year's struggles. One reason that closers can be so dominant is because they come in for one inning and nobody can figure them out. If your "closer" is pitching 3 or 4 innings a weekend against every team in the SEC, they will eventually figure him out. Caleb Reed is not going to be able to close the last 3 innings on Friday night, and then start or close another game every weekend and be successful. I know Cohen thinks he is the best pitcher on Earth because he basically pitched us to a Super last year, but John, I hope you figured it out tonight. If people key in on his fastball, they rip his ***. He either has to change is style of attacking hitters, or quit putting him in there in clutch spots. Oh, and not throwing hanging curve balls right down the 17ing cock on a 0-2 pitch will probably help too. Damn this loss pisses me off. You don't have opportunities like tonight very often....you have to close these games out when you have a 3 run lead with 4 outs left.
