as any school in America. Hell, they made Jackie Sherrill the first ever million dollar coach long before the best coaches made close to that kind of scratch. Why they hired a mediocre NFL coach is beyond me. Seems like they could get a proven head college coach if they wanted to.
calling Wanstadt a "mediocre" NFL coach would be a huge compliment to him. Sherman was actually a pretty good NFL coach (57-39 career record despite that poor last season). And he's only 3 games into his career at A&M. Even Carroll started 2-5 in his first season at Southern Cal. I just think it's too early to call him a bust as a college coach.
