They probably haven't even done official evaluations of players right now since they are still teaching fundamentals and doing drills. I imagine after the first full scrimmage or two, he will move up.

at least not right now. He is in third string because he doesn't know our drills and how we practice and they don't want to hold up the 1st team waiting on him to learn the flow. They are teaching more in the third string anyway so that's the right place for a newcomer, no matter the talent level.

He came in with the understanding that he'd have to earn his spot. Now, you, me, and the American people all know that he will. But making him pay his dues is good for his mindset and the team's.</p>

..Maye has had 2 non-contact practices to make his presence felt, & he's done nothing but linger @ 3rd string.

The guy is definitely a bust.

We always get screwed in these situations. We need to get a transfer who can jump in clearly as the first team starter just like Brent Schaffer

three days before practice ever begins. Hell, it's obvious Maye came (giggity) out of the gate teaching these young guys everything they need to know about the linebacker position as it pertains to our scheme and the coaches are only doing him an injustice leaving him at 3rd string. If I feel he should be first string, then Dan should honor that. What a complete waste...**
