at the very worst, it can't hurt our chances. We really REALLY needed a JUCO or a ready made starter here.

Is it a hardship transfered and he is going to get to play next year or what?

Even if he is only league average, the added benefit of giving us another year to build/recruit depth and bring along the young projects like Holmes and Bohanna - such a huge bonus. 3 year starter from a solid ACC team though - better than a JUCO transfer which we sorely needed. I told someone else that I think he could have a Chaney-like impact. <div>
</div><div>Side note, I hope he keeps the dreads. </div>

And lost playing time because he was shifted to weakside LB. So he elected to transfer using the same rule Masoli did. I certainly don't mean to say that he is going to be all-SEC, who knows. When you boil it down, we are getting a player that was losing playing time at another school. However, that school has some great LB prospects and the player has 3 years of starting experience. Again, I expect a solid player, much like Jamar Chaney, but not necessarily a playmaker. Anything beyond that is gravy. I still think that just bringing in a solid player is huge for the development of our LB corps.

which is an element we don't have with our LB corps without him with the possible exception of Lawrence who played a lot in key moments last year. His experience will be just what the doctor ordered to be a leader on the field to our young guys.

He's a masoli transfer rule. He should play immediately. Damn its nice to catch a break.
I don't think Maye will be required to sell drugs or steal anything to gain eligibility.

Seriously, from what I know of this guy, he should be better than Chris White was. Faster, at least.
