We stink at shooting, defense and rebounding. Yet we are still within 10 points.

I finally figured it out. Lamont likes to watch slam dunk contest. That’s why he plays a lineup that can’t get a rebound because the other team out jumps them even when they’re behind them. It’s like we’re watching the NBA slam dunk contest every game because he likes to play short lineups. Our two 7 footers are not buffoons they help us and they can get a rebound. Of course I prefer watching the other team dunk all over us and trying to get a rebound. Looks like fourth graders against eighth graders.
1 7 footer is sick the other is lost.
Maybe they can find Paris at Chattanooga next year.
Thanks…announcers said that after I posted. Lamont does this every game so it’s a moot point. He still played the other one two minutes while Arkansas plays volleyball off the backboard
Down 50-38 at the half. We made a few 3 points shots late in the half to keep it from being a rout.
Refs have nothing to do with how putrid this team is tonight.
It's only 1 game but Paris is entering the losing record zone for his tenure. Can't see a reason to keep him at this point.
Do you think our team understands they are being laughed at by the Arkansas players on every basket. I would think any major college team would stand up and fight a little harder when they’re basically being punked. I see fire in Ellis and Meechie. Sad

You don't pay a guy what he makes to coach only one end of the court. That's what he does, you know.

I guess the major men’s sports at SC really enjoy learning.
Other than our game, there were some good games on last night. Iowa at Purdue was a dogfight. The end of the UK-LSU was nuts, especially when they took the two points off the board late in the game. Even though we're awful, it's still a good time of the year.
LP is history. We will be starting over in April because whoever we hire is going to clean house. Meechie is the only player on the team worth a hoot and who is giving 100%. The rest are just standing around.

Correct me if i am wrong, Isnt 50-38 a rout?? especially considering it coule very easily be worse??
I usually try to avoid confrontation on the message boards, although in the past I had a lifetime ban on the old State newspaper Gamecock board. First of all I detest long message arguments and I lose interest after 2 paragraphs and secondly people can twist data to say whatever they want. However my eyes do not lie and this team is lacking in either leadership, ability or cohesiveness or all three.
Have you ever been to a high school game where the cheerleaders are saying "you can do it" over and over? Yet after just a few minutes you realize they won't ever be able to do it, that is this team.

Glad I missed that one. Saw Arkansas had 108 with about 4 minutes left. That’s pretty much unheard of in college basketball…unless it’s a powerhouse against some small school. Pretty sure that says a lot about our team. We’d be competitive in the SoCon. Which is what Paris did…we hired a guy because of a buzzer beater against Furman in the SoCon Tournament. They miss that shot, he’s not our coach.
Did the same with Darrin Horn. Buzzer Beater in the first round of NCAA Tournament…beat another mid-major to reach Sweet 16. That’s all the clown did as a HC and we hired him. 1 missed shot and we never hear of Horn…or Paris.
It would be nice to hire a coach with multiple accomplishments, or at least a solid program for some time rather than a one-hit wonder that came from a miracle.
