Team looks good, play hard defense , very athletic. We really miss the offensive production from Johnson and Cooper. Giving #22 all they want physically. Scott looks young and not ready to be productive offensively. He will grow into it, very talented, but obviously not there yet. We’ll see what happens but will be a hard battle in conference play. May be a year a way from being as good as last year, but they do play a strong physical game. Match ups in conference are going to be tough if guards can’t score. 5 spot going to be tough when Pringle gets in foul trouble.

Really don't have anyone on the team who we can count on to score, they double Boyles because they don't have to worry about anyone else

I wouldn’t go that far, just don’t have enough guys who can score on a regular basis. They play hard and are physical. Definitely thin inside, but guard play wins college games at the championship level and we had to replace both. We are a young team and look like it. I don’t see any lack of effort, but do see lack of experience and talent. Honestly, Johnson was a baller and Cooper was calm and composed. We don’t have that this year. That’s not a knock on our guys, but these guys aren’t that experienced, and more importantly, maybe not as talented.

Do we have a good class for next year? We are going to need it.
Don't think we have many wins coming in conference this year, just lack talent.

2025 class is #21 in the country, best we have had in a while. But no, don’t see conference play going well this year.

Poor rebounding tesm. Getting killed on the boards, especially offensive rebounds

When Pringle gets in foul trouble we just don’t have a back up. Team is very thin

Playing hard at the end just not good enough. I believe we can get better our ceiling isn't very high though.

First time I have really watched team this year. Cooper was such a big loss, but overall a ton of experience is gone.

We aren’t there from a cohesive standpoint and appears we are still identifying roles.

We just played a top 25 team on a neutral court and held our own. Had that Scott basket counted, we are right there at the end. Speaking of what tournament host doesn’t have a light on the backboard?? He got that off….but I digress.

We aren’t as bad as some believe, but making the tourney will certainly require some guys to grow up faster than what should typically be expected.

We are already at 3 losses this year and have yet to hit conference play. We had 7 losses all of last season.

The lack of post depth is tough. Butler and BBV combining for 7 minutes ain’t gonna cut it long term. I’m still not sure why we let Gray go. He gave some solid 10 minutes a game efforts and could finish around the rim better than BBV.

So maybe success at filling key positions on the roster via the portal is just a gamble year to year, not the result of genius.

Most perplexing loss to me. Gray was flourishing under Paris and basically traded him for Butler.

We played nobody OOC last year. The only team we played that was close to the quality of Indiana or Xavier was Clemson. The North Florida loss was a big disappointment, but this team appears to be improving. We probably won't be 26-7 good this year, but that record in a lot ways was the product of a very easy OOC schedule.

It was made very clear to me in this thread, that our OOC schedule last year was not all that easy.

Cam Scott looks like a little boy out there. At 6’7, I’d like to see him put on 15 lbs next year. He looks so thin at 180. Still, I hope we increase his playing time.
