Lynch made one hell of a play to put MC up 14-7 just before the half. Too bad the camera didn't catch the actual catch.
A fumble return puts MC up 21-7. MS RB palumbo appears to be injured. MS now On the MC 30 with 6 minutes left in 3rd.
Very tough for MS to run their offense with 4th string QB, who is actually a WR.
Side note, the Mount Carmel fans that congregated in the end zone are some of the nicest fans that I’ve come across at Wilson Field.
My daughter is learning “our Father” in catholic Pre-K and recites it non stop, and a Mount Carmel dad knelt down and said it with her and then looked at me and asked if we could pray for all these kids safety. Pure class.

As a Carmel guy, I have no love for Maine South, but let's see more of the Hawkettes.
Thank you! I think the majority are. I think Park Ridge has a deep appreciation of football, and what it teaches young men. My heart melted when this Mount Carmel dad heard my daughter reciting a prayer and said it with her and then asked me to join in praying for safety of all of these young men. I hope this mt Carmel dad sees this!

Hawkettes are the MS dance team. They probably are the hardest working team at the school with multiple state and national championships.
My first trip to the school. Great stadium, good food, friendly staff. Fans and students were respectful to the visitors. Outstanding band!! As far as the game, myself and all other true fans of high school football know we were playing a MS team with some key injured players. #23 was a gutsy kid, listed as s KR in the program, he did his best at QB.... MC had some outstanding plays and defense, but they know they have a lot to work ahead of them. Anytime you beat a program like MS it’s an accomplishment but work needs to be done.
Yeah he’s fun to watch, he has s powerful leg. He sent one on the track on a kickoff.
I always had a great experience at MS also.
Except when MS scored 3TDs on us once in the last 2 minutes of the game to beat us.
My comment on the Hawkettes was purely complimentary. As a precision, acrobatic dance team, they deserve all the trophies they have won.
My commute usually takes me from Touhy to Talcott and onward - on Friday at 5:45, WAZE took me to the Canfield route.

I lived in Park Ridge for 18 years … when the girl across the street made the Hawkettes, it was huge news.
