Starkville wins 45-42 as MC scores an apparent game winning TD with no time on the clock, only to see it waved off because of offensive PI. Hall gets escorted off the field by the OCSO. MC coaches take their team off the field, no handshake line. It was epic.

Not that I could tell............

I thought MC had won, then I saw SHS celebrating and Hall storming the field. Then the white hat signaled PI, pointed at the O and started sprinting.

Hall went for the win with 8 seconds left from around the 25. He should've kicked, his offense had SHS reeling. MC would've won in OT.

Once again, Bobby Hall comes up short in a big game. The sooner he's gone, the better.

I feel kind of bad criticizing a high school kid

Radio guys said that a 37 yarder may have been out of range. Is Bell kicking for MC too?

But their kicker's range isn't very good based on what they normally have. So, yes- 37 could have been out of his range. Certainly on the edge of it at the very least.

You really have to wonder

Once again, Bobby Hall comes up short in a big game. The sooner he's gone, the better.

How much longer the parents and the school are going to put up with him. And honestly it's not so much the losing- it's the embarrassing incidents over the years- like tonight a policeman had to be restrained and then you have one of his assistants going off on twitter. Personal fouls against Olive Branch on him, losing complete control of the team at South Panola in 2009, interrupting Forrest Williams interview and calling his offense "bump and giggle".

Now that they've lost this, I can't see them getting past the second round in the playoffs. Heck, they may not even get past the first round.

He loses games like this because they are sloppy and poorly coached.

No excuse for not shaking hands, it's past

Time for Hall to hang it up.

As a HS coach, part of his job is to teach his kids how to react to situations like this, and from the sound of things, he's failing spectacularly in that regard.

If you care to watch the last play of the game, here's a link. http://t.co/wx5jYwFWpz

Worst call I have ever seen to end a game. Horrendous call.

I realize that the quality of the video isn't great, but, to me at least, it's pretty obvious the Starkville cornerback slipped.

Looks pretty clear that the receiver cut, and defender just slipped.

I still think Hall needs to go. For many reasons.

Grainy video from one vantage point isn't obvious evidence of it being a bad call. I think it looks like I see an arm extension at the time of the slip as well, can't tell if there is contact though. The ref had a much better vantage point than any of us.

For the record, i live out of state and do not have any allegiance to either team.

Son was there. His perspective was that the refs sprinted off the field immediately after the call escorted by SO. Bobby hall ran beside them cursing them. Not sure if that makes it any better...

+1 unless that receiver has stretch Armstrong arms he wasn't close enough to push off. That plus it was obvious that he just made his cut. No wonder the refs sprinted off the field. Are there repercussions in high school ball for crappy reffing?

Hall is the poster child for almost winning it all. He wins a bunch but never the big one. I do respect the fact that he is unashamedly himself. His program. His way. That pretty much guarantees that some won't agree with him and thus not like him. Not a Hall defender but you could do worse for a Coach. Given the resources at mc he does seem to underacheive.

From someone at the game, word was that the officials were allowing contact downfield the entire game. Plus, earlier on the final drive, MC had faced a 4th and 10, and passed the ball. The receiver was tackled well before the ball arrived, but the referee right on top of the play did not throw a flag. Two others did. That ref is the one who threw the final flag.

The person who told me that was definitely biased, but is usually accurate.

Also looks like said asst coach needs to practice what he preaches, read down further where he ReTweeeted Joel Osteen:

Being positive doesn’t necessarily come naturally. You have to make that decision every day.

I don't know what y'all are talking about bobby hall not winning it all. One of the best coaches in ms. And he's got several state championships. He's won it all several times.
