Tupelo wins 5-4 in 10. Final out on very close play at the plate as MC sent a runner home from 2B on a single. Great game.

In the 10th the Tupelo coach ran out to argue a call. A guy behind me yelled at the Tupelo coach to get back in the dugout. A well built Tupelo guy in front yelled angrily, "Who said that?!" Then repeated his question in a taunting tone. A really big guy walked over and replied, "I said it." The Tupelo guy turned backto the gameand said quietly to his buddy, "He should say anything about our coach."

Moral of the story: There is always someone bigger, badder, and tougher than you.</p>

Of course, I feel bad for MC, but that's the way it goes. Hurts to have your season end on a bang bang play at the plate. It was a great series and Tupelo has a great team.

Yea looks pretty safe to me. That's terrible. Coach Perry's last game at Madison Central. Wow

I had a really bad angle on it, and I didn't see the tag. All I saw was the catcher get the ball and then it looked like he had to turn all the way around to apply the tag.

I guess I was right.

Of course there was an arguement, the umpires had to be escorted off the field by the police and the two teams almost got into a fight.

It's a shame that Perry's career ended on something like that.

that when you watch it, you really feel for the MC players and coaches. Same emotion I felt when Galarraga lost his perfect game last year. I know umps are human but damn, unjustices like that just suck no other way to look at it, they just suck.

plate as the ball was reaching the catcher. I saw it on TV last night andgranted itwas a bang, bang play but he looked safe to me as well. That's baseball!

In game one Wednesday at Smith Wills Stadium in Jackson, and game two will be Thursday at 1.

Petal is really playing good baseball right now and have won 10 in a row. I hope that Tupelo used up a TON of pitching in this series vs MC.

I have to say if there's a more thankless job in the world than the one they do, I don't want to know what it is. I can't begin to form an opinion on out/safe from the angle in this video but, if the catcher had the plate blocked off correctly, it seems quite possible the runner may have been out.

play MC last year and they were impressive. MC had a great year and it is a shame to see them lose at this point but obviously Tupelo is a great team too. Should be a great championship series.

The argument is that the runner never touched home. Can't view the video, but apparently it does not show the kid for sure touching the plate. Apparently he doesn't argue the call, either.

Bang bang call, could have gone either way. Not as atrocious as most people are making it out to be.
