He looked like he can develop into a decent NFL QB. Showed some good poise and nice touch on a lot of his passes and had 2 TD passes dropped. Final play was one to forget but he looked better than I thought he would.

The Texans D-Line looked sick all night. They got awesome penetration and were just shredding the Jets O-Line. My only concern with McElroy is, although he is a really good QB, he was surrounded by the best group of playmakers in college football. Everything from an unbelievable RB Tandem to Jones and Maze. Bama's offense could have made me look like a good a QB. I think he has the basic skillset to be a great QB, but to me, the jury is still out because now he has to take ownership of an offense and not just be a key player in an offense.<div>
</div><div>Or it could be the fact that they have only been in training camp about two weeks. I don't care how good you are, two weeks of training camp isn't going to prepare you for an NFL defense. </div>

His receivers dropped a couple of deep balls but both of those where in the air too long for a completion against a real cornerback. The first deep ball he tried to throw was quacking all the way and fluttered out of the sky.

I am a Jets fan and I hope to never see him after week 4 of preseason. He has zero chance to be an NFL QB.
