What I just took from the new rankings is if we beat OM, they are the ugly duckling of two loss teams and they are out.
God I hope Lebby and Co cam get our guys to ball out and somehow pull this upset !
It would be the most glorious win in many many decades at Scott field. There would be jubilation and celebration in Starkville.

I can't even allow myself to believe a little for Friday. If State somehow finds a way...
The possible outcomes for this weekend for OM are wild.
They could:
1. Lock in a home playoff game with a win
2. Clinch a berth in the SEC title game with a win and some help
OR
3. Their playoff hopes could end altogether if they fail to beat us on the road.
4. Win or lose, they may or may not lose their head coach that’s won 49 games in the last 5 years.
If it were anyone else I’d feel a little sympathy for the turmoil… But that bunch deserves to add some more gray hairs and have their sphincters so tight a piece of paper wouldn’t fit back there.

Perfect scenario would be for the SEC to finish

Georgia 11-1
Alabama 10-2
Vanderbilt 10-2
Oklahoma 10-2
Ole Miss 10-2
A & M and Georgia would play in SECCG.
There would be 6 SEC teams for probably 4 spots in the CFP.

If Bama and A&M both win this weekend then that’s the matchup in Atlanta. Georgia needs one of them to lose to make the SECCG.
I'm not saying he's gone, but how has LSU screwed up? My LSU friend says they're done looking, so evidently they have someone lined up.
I may be the only one.....but I do not want to see any of these teams succeed in the playoffs.
Just means the line continues to get even further and further away.
But at the same time....the rate State is going, the line would have to reverse itself 100 fold for State to move closer two steps!
