subscriber over there so could you possibly just paraphrase essentially what he said about Yancy and I assume the quote he supposedly made regarding our loss to LT?

I guess he's ok with a QB that can't hand the ball of correctly, which probably isn't a good thing considering everyone is screaming to run the ball more. In his defense, Lee is his former teammate.

I'm not going to copy and paste and piss off Michael.. But pretty much he said that yancy came up to him at the game and was asking him some questions. He said he never liked OM or anything to the such. After the article was published, his coach from ICC asked him about the article on the internet and Mcphee did know what he was talking about.

to copy and paste anything. Just basically wanted to know if he essentially said Yancy was a liar, which is what most of us know already.

That's an NCAA violation.

I'm pretty sure someone from either Gene's or The Blitz got in trouble a few years ago for talking to a prospect while they were on campus.

Now that I think about it, that rule might only apply to official visits.

I've never kept up with the rules on who can talk to who and when. About the only thing I know is that you're not supposed to be slipping cash and gifts to prospects.

The rules about what can be said, who can say it, when they can say it, and things like that are way too complicated, and I've never really cared enough to look into them. And honestly, I don't know how or why anyone would know whether or not something along those lines would be a violation, and then why they would care.

Is this similar to you telling us you do "not following recruiting" and then going to NAFOOM and giving that board a run down of the OM recruiting class for this year? And to echo Xeno, you seriously replied to say you were out of the loop on the issue?

which begs the question, how does one let his homerism cloud his judgement so much that he will defend his schools's truly ****** sports writer?

It appears to me only MSU fans really care because we haven't even been recruiting him.

Yancy sucks as a writer and probably sucks as a person (never met the guy). I was just laughing about how many NCAA police there are out there. I get a kick out of anytime I see someone say "that's a violation", even on our boards.

...graddawg saying "that's a violation" is a helluva lot different than msbullie saying it.

Just sayin', there's not a whole helluva lot I'd argue with graddawg over when it comes to **** like that.

He is one of our commitments and if he does have an offer from LSU and Miami, that's the type we will need to keep improving.

I was referring to caring about whether Yancy was quoting him truthfully.

I detected an 'I told you Yancy was lying' tone in the thread.

Therefore my comment.</p>

you guys continue to believe yancy. He is a blatant f'n liar. Why? There is no reason to...for some reason you f'rs pay to read his ****. Maybe not so much of the nafoomers but many many do. Again, he lies period. Gene = douche/gimp not a liar. Steve = goob at times but NEVER lies and is well respected.

Probably has something to do with some Ole Miss posters saying that "it must be true, because he printed it for everyone to see." Giving Yancy's reputation, I don't see how anyone could assume he was being truthful.

I mentioned this yesterday. Yancy "misquotes" recruits all the time. This wasn't the first time and it won't be the last. It would be nice if someone would really take him on over this. He only gets away with it as long as no one challenges him.

If they talked during the Ole Miss game.....how did either of them know we lost to LA Tech? We started first, but their game finished before ours.

on Yancey than NAFOOM. He is a source item for more parody than Pete Boone and Ed Orgeron combined. So posts like these below, make zero sense to me. The only time he said anything that I believed in the last couple of years was when he warned everyone that he was going to be out of touch for the day getting his Audi worked on in Memphis. I did believe that he would be out of touch, I was iffy on the Audi and Memphis part.

Several bulldog posters here pay for Yancy's info.

Munson even has a Spirit subscription in his family.

You going to deny that, Munson?

on yancy, but they also try to say him and steve are the same. That is complete horseshit. Hell we all rag on gene and steve, but there is NO comparison between yancy and them. He literally just makes **** up.

Why would the article be taken down if it was all true?
