Yes.

The fully spoiler free review I have given to my friends is that as someone who has been watching all of these movies since the beginning and become invested in the characters, Endgame did everything I hoped it would and many things I didn’t realize I wanted but definitely appreciated.
How far into the movie is it when Ant-Man crawls up Thanos's butthole?

Best Marvel film yet?

Oh, don’t ask me that! It’s so hard to compare because some of the more recent ones have honestly been quite good and this one really is not a standalone film. It’s just a wonderful conclusion to everything that has come before.

Second post-credits scene. Stick around for it.

It really is amazing what Marvel has been able to do with these movies over the past 10 years or whatever. Only one or two real stinkers in the bunch and they've managed to make people care about a LOT of characters and stories. I'm a little worried about where they go from here (I don't think people are going to give two ***** about something like the Eternals), but they deserve a lot of credit for what they've done. Ask DC how easy it is to create a coherent movie universe.

Yeah it's a shame that DC can't figure it out because now that Marvel has pretty much finished up the story with their best characters, it would be cool to be able to see DC do it with theirs.

No doubt. Although, DC is getting better.

Interesting to see what they do moving forward.

Kill off underperforming expensive actors/actresses and replace them with CGI characters. Star Wars just did it too.

To give a no spoiler review. It’s the best Marvel movie ever made IMO. It has a perfect 10/10 on IMDB. I’ve only seen positive critic reviews and some have said the early favorite for best picture of the year which would be Marvels first.

Bootleg cam version seems to be out. Chinese subtitles, coughing in the background.

The cam I found was pretty good quality and the camera was set just right to rarely see subtitles.

Agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed it & wasn’t disappointed in the least. But, idk if I could rank it ahead of IW. And, that’s no slight to Endgame; I just really liked IW. It’s hard to explain without spoiling the movie for everybody else.

Endgame certainly has several epic moments, probably more than any other MCU movie. And, as a lifelong fan of Marvel comics there were several payoffs that were amazing to see. Hell, idk maybe it IS better than IW, lol. Both were great, IMO. But, you’re right, the more recent ones have all been pretty damn good & this was an incredible conclusion to the saga.

So does anyone know what the plan is for the Marvel Universe after this? Obviously there will still be Spiderman, Black Panther, and some other single character movies. Will there be more team up movies?

One of the problems I have ranking it is simply that it can’t poasibly stand alone as it’s own film. It clearly is built on much of what has come before it. Without all of the previous work, would it even make sense? Of course not. However, is it as good or better than I could have expected as a conclusion to all I’ve watched of this story I’ve watched over the last 10 years? Absolutely.

As a payoff for all these characters and all we know about them and their stories, it is fantastic.

As for the MCU as a whole, somewhere around Guardians was a total game changer for me. I expected little, and got so much. As a lifelong Thor fan, Ragnorok felt like a personal gift to my childhood. Getting to see Thor be completely confident in his ability to not even give a damn about fire demon world destroyers and then finally watching him go full on god was magic for me.

Spoiling nothing from Endgame, I am certain Marvel isn’t going to give up this cash cow anytime soon. They just got Fantastic Four back, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Galactus as the next big bad. I don’t know that it will be dragged out for half a decade across three films, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a whatever becomes of the Avengers (and others like Spider-Man, Black Panther, etc.) + whatever becomes of Guardians + Fantastic Four 2-part team-up movie.

With Guardians now likely pushed back to early 2023, that plus the expected Fantastic Four film should be just enough to introduce us to Silver Surfer as his herald and enough spacefaring/cosmic adventure to tease the threat of Galactus for a big crossover to conclude Phase 4 (or 5 depending).

It will be interesting to see if they choose to continue doing multiple phase buildups or if they prefer to now shift the Avengers films to function as a storyline conclusion film for each phase. With more and more of the characters in the MCU now being non-Avengers i would also not be surprised if Avengers becomes a less important series focused on somewhat smaller scales and a new title going to the big blockbuster crossovers.

But Disney likes printing money. This thing won’t be stopping anytime soon.

And, that scene you’re talking about set to The Immigrant Song was perfection. One of the most badass scenes in the MCU.

Black Panther was good, I enjoyed it. But I agree it is definitely the most over rated. Winter Soldier or Civil War is probably my favorite.

I’d put Winter Soldier high on my list too, along with Ragnarok, Iron Man, and Guardians 1. I thought Guardians 2 was pretty bad.

My list is similar. I didn't think Guardians 2 was bad, but the first was a surprise and despite the fairly weak ending, very good. Others seem to think Guardians 2 was actually the better film, and I guess I must admit the storyline concept was better, but something about it just didn't have that pure joy that Guardians had.

Winter Soldier was also a huge, welcome surprise. Especially considering the first Captain America film felt forced and a bit of a mess. Winter Solider may have been the first that actually got to feel like truly its own film with its own style.

Seeing endgame Friday so I don’t know if it set anything up but I do know They said they are going to go more cosmic after end game ... more into space so more Guadiana / captain marvel galactic stuff so I’m guessing galactus will be the new big bad they’ll spend 15-20 movies leading up to. Also they’ll tie in some secret wars stuff or their own version of secret wars

Agree about Guardians 2. I remember the day I saw Iron Man 1. Hungover and it was about 2-3 PM on a very hot Sunday. Went to the movie just because it would be relaxing and cooler than outside. Had zero expectations for the movie. Left the theater blown away because it was great.

Ironman is easily in the top 5 of MCU movies. Downey Jr was born to play that part. So its pretty gd perplexing on how poor Ironman 2 and to a lesser extent Ironman 3 are.

Ironman 2 should have scrapped Whiplash as a villain and made the movie about the government and Hammer trying to steal the Ironman tech from Tony only to have Rhodes take the suit and go insane because it is configured to Tony's brain like in the comics. Making him the villain of the movie and adding a more personal quest for Stark to have to fight his best friend.

Ironman 3 should have used the real Mandarin and scrapped the Iron Legion bots because having a bunch of unmanned Ironman clones flying around helping save the day kind of steals the thunder of Stark flying around in his suit blasting ****.

IIRC, Iron Man 2 was caught in the mess of a writer's strike. Couple that with Mickey Rourke's weird *** and the issues make sense.

I think there is a handful of movies that were rushed just so they could reach Endgame in time. Iron man 3 probably falls in that category. Milk the Ironman series while you still can. Ant man 2 felt that way. It was just meh IMO. Guardians 2 definitely. I’ll throw Thor 2 in that category as well.

Please Marvel- create a worthy Fantastic Four.

Even more The Silver Surfer needs his own stand alone movie in order to introduce Galactus. Could be so well done considering the tragedy behind his story and the ethical dilemma he’s forced to live.

Another character I’m surprised we haven’t seen is Submariner considering how long he’s been in the Marvel Universe. Maybe they don’t want it to seem like an Aquaman rip off.

No. There was nothing referenced for the future. No post credit scenes either.

Since it’s out now I just want to put a few thoughts about the movie in this spoiler tag.

The only disappointment for me was Hulk not having a rematch against Thanos. They never really got close to each other. Maybe the coolest part of the movie is Thor powering up right before the final battle. Lightning comes from the sky and he lights up, Stormbreaker comes to one hand and Mjolnir comes to the other. And lastly the funniest part imo was after Cap had already used Mjolnir. Thor had Mjolnir back in his hand and I think Cap maybe picks up Stormbreaker and Thor said “Here, you take the small one.” And threw Mjolnir to Cap and took back Stormbreaker.

You should be worried. They're about to throw it all away on account of a Mary Sue in the form of Captain Marvel.

If they invoke the Fantastic Four, I hope Marvel/Disney is willing to kill off a number of the crossover heroes - as in permanently.

There's been too much predictability when it comes to "bringing back" characters after they're quasi-dead. They need to up the stakes a bit and put the audience in a state of anxiety.

I heard a rumor is there a post credit scene or nah?
there’s not. There’s just a noise that sounds like metal banging on metal with a black screen. Evidently it’s supposed to be the sound from when Tony made his first suit in the cave from Iron Man but I don’t remember what that sounded like.
