Meadowbrook???

I know Cover Hill and Kecoughtan are not very strong teams, But Meadowbrook starts their season 2-0, scoring 101 points and giving up 0 points. Looking at their schedule, I think they can start the season 4-0, and possibly end up 6-4. I would think that should get them in the playoffs. This quite the turnaround for a team that hasn’t had a winning season since 2013. And a team that won 1 game in a recent four year stretch.

But, if they should make the playoffs, the sledding will really get tough, as they are a Class 6 team.

As an opponent with a history of some pretty exciting games against Dinwiddie, I am wishing them the very best.

Two of the better players are sophomores, too. Feels like they are starting to turn the corner or very close. Central District may be a bit down compared to some years past (although look at Petersburg too)... I am with you though and can see them getting to 5-5 or 6-4.

Meadowbrook is back in Class 5. If they can get to 5-5 or better I am thinking they could be a 5 or 6 seed come playoff time.

I called it back on preps that MBK would be much improved. Coach Rudd is the real deal. Love the culture he’s built and hope he stays put. Compared to some years it’s probably considered down but there’s no bad teams (which a lot districts can’t say the same). Colonial Heights lost their best player but I thought they were tough as nails.
