Good for them. They've let the PC crowd bully their traditions long enough. Way to stand up for history Rebs

I like how many of our fans love to deem OM a racist institution, and then applaud them for keeping the very "traditions" said fans use to portray them as racist.

This. You can't have it both ways.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for traditions, just not traditions closely tied to owning people as property.

Mississippi Queston ...

Is the ban on "From Dixie with Love" still in effect?

Last time I was down 'to the land of cotton' they were still playing it followed by TSWRA mantra. But, that has been a few years ago.

They don't really play the full "Dixie". They play the opening riff, then the first the "How I wish I was In the Land Of Cotton"...then something completely else. I'm betting some wizards of smart figured out just how much Dixie they had to play to keep the old farts happy, but not enough to invite another firebombing of the campus.

They actually do play full-on Dixie. They play three different versions of it that I am aware of. And I am fine with it. Right, wrong, or indifferent, they should be allowed to celebrate their traditions, just like we should be allowed to celebrate ours. They can call us rednecks for our cowbells, but they can also understand that their traditions open themselves up to ridicule as well.

Yep, and from one of the "I hate Rebearz trollz!!!" crowd too

If you don't want Ole Miss fans defending themselves on MSU sites, then how about stop asking them to come over and do so?

They're just controlling the message, don't you know.
