8/29 Weddington vs Myers Park
Weddington defeated Mooresville 31-10 in a strong performance and Myers Park defeated JM Robinson 37-6. We should see a better game this week with these teams. Any thoughts.

8/29 Hough at Independence
Hough defeated a strong RH South Pointe team 14-10 and Independence went down to Gaffney for a good 27-21 win. One can only be excited about this matchup. Any thoughts.

8/29 Rolesville vs Providence Day
Providence Day defeated Roman Catholic 29-28 and Rolesville lost to Mallard Creek 36-21. I think this could possibly turn out to be a good one. Any thoughts with this one.

8/29 West Charlotte at Monroe
I edited this one in. Thinking this game might be interesting.

8/30 Mallard Creek at Warwick VA. I created another thread for this game but feel free if you want to put your thoughts with this game on here.

The reason why I put all these good games on here was to keep having so many threads for it. Thought might be easier to keep up that way. Giving it a try like this anyway.

Im suddenly more interested in the MP vs Weddington game after watching highlights of MP from Friday. I would think WC beats Monroe but it could be a good game. Indy vs Hough should be good.

I like MP in that game vs Weddington and Its bc 1 i think Weddington had used a lot of their own playbook n also MP dominating JMR who a fav to win their own conference is impressive. Weddington is a hard place to win tho but MP has been in tough games before.

I like INDY over Hough bc Thats a impressive win over Gaffney at Gaffney but HOUGH is very very good so its going come down to who make less mistakes and i would say HOUGH wins in that catagory but its hard not look at indy after that big win

Idk if Rolesville is down or if MC is that good but I like PD in that game

Here is one I didn’t list East Lincoln will take on Providence. East Lincoln has a very good QB and WR. They are expected to be good this year. Providence may not be top tier in 8A but a solid team that could give East Lincoln a fit. This could be a sneaky good game.

I am not an Indy Homer or Hough fan so I have no dog in the fight but Hough beat Indy pretty bad last year in playoffs so they would seem to have no room to talk about Hough.

They were in a conference with Mallard Creek at the peak of their powers then Chambers who was an all time talented team beating each other up every year in conference then knocking each other out in the playoffs. Then when Chambers and Mallard Creek comes back to earth then Grimsley becomes a power. You could argue it’s been the last 3-4 years of “choking”.

Not stiff at all. Hough started their Uber Transporation and Airbnb program in 2012, far exceeding any program in the State with talent. Every program has some form of getting new guys or recruiting. That's why I personally believe they should have open enrollment across the State. Today, If Hough out of the area guys leave and go back to their assigned School. They're a little better than North Meck.

Garinger has real good shot at going 2-0 at Lake Norman Charter this week. I believe they should be able to in this one. From what I saw they have good RB.

Final Myers Park 28 Weddington 18
After Myers Park thrashed JM Robinson, I thought this next game with Weddington might turn out to be a good one. And sounded like it was. My surprise win of the night with MP winning.

Myers Park looked good on the highlights I saw vs JMR. #11 on defense looks really good.

I was surprised to see Butler only beating Corvian Community 14-9 with Butler being lot bigger school. Is Butler down or Corvian is having a very good year.

I saw Butler for the first time last night. Decent size, not a lot of speed, #0 and #4 on offense are the dudes on offense. QB 15 is accurate with some mobility but doesn’t push the ball down the field. That could be because Hales may not have opened the playbook.

The defense is decent but not sure how to evaluate based on who they played so far.

As far as the game Butler would do a good job moving the ball methodically but a penalty’s would mess them up. Corvian would move the ball methodically but Butler would make a stop. The first half ended pretty quickly 3-0 Corvian. Second half Butler woke up and wore them down with the run. I didn’t realize Corvian was really good last year and they have some good size and speed, depth wore them down.

I think Butler is figuring some things out and seeing what works. They are a young team. I expect them to be better by the end of the year and should be really good next season if Hales sticks around for another year.
