MECKLENBURG COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GAMES NEEDED FOR FALL 2022

Mecklenburg County High School has several open dates for this upcoming season. They will be a new consolidated high school of Park View High School and Bluestone High School. They need home and away dates. The open dates are as follows: 9/9, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28

I was originally told that they would be playing Park View's schedule, but I guess that is not the case. It is going to be hard to fill that many open dates with everyone being in the middle of the schedule cycle. They could pick up games from both Bluestone and Park View's original schedule, but that seems like it would have been easier to just play one of the two's schedule. I would love to know what happened or the logic behind this.

The ones getting screwed in this deal are the teams that had signed on to play PV and Bluestone this season. Now they are left without games.

If I were a betting man, I would think that they agreed to play each other(i.e. James River schools playing the Tri-Rivers schools). For example, whoever was scheduled to play PV in Week 6 plays whoever Bluestone was scheduled to play in Week 6. The JRD and TRD schools are closer in enrollment anyway.

That likely leaves Mecklenburg out in the cold looking for games.
