The Broncos flew Tebow in a few days back and the local papers were full of fantastic comments from McD and others. I think it is a good pick, McD will correct any throwing flaws Tebow has, and in two years Tebow will be the starter. Until then we have Orton who is serviceable.

Papers and comments this morning are also very positive.

I think Tebow is a great PR move for the Broncos after McD's expletive laced comments caught on camera and his trading away a couple players he couldn't establish relationships with which imo was caused by his 'youth' and inexperience. Most Coloradans are very pleased with the selections.

Now if they would just take AD!

I do not like Kyle Orton. I threw a party the day the Bears got rid of him. He is boring and weak. Throwing for 4,000 yards really didn't do much for their results either. Tebow will make you more moneyt than Orton could ever dream about, and he can win. Again just my personal opinion. I would rather win than throw for a bunch of yards. I'm sure Dan Marino would agree.

forget all that "he's a winner" ********.. lots of guys were winners IN COLLEGE....I've got two eyes that work and for the purposes of NFL football, Clausen is a head and shoulders better prospect than Tim Tebow every day of every week.
I sense that McDaniels used this pick for something other than a clipboard holding third string QB - which is what Tebow, Clausen, or McCoy could be for a year or two. Unless of course you could find another role for them in the interim. Kind of like Urban Meyer did at Florida Tebow's freshman year - when he made meaningful contributions to a NC team. I'm betting McDaniels has some ideas about how Tebow could help the Broncos immediately that don't involve taking 50 snaps a game.

I'm still loving his wisdom from 1989 when he blasted Jimmy Johnson for drafting Aikman over Mandarich, ranting about how tou don't rebuild a team by taking a average to good QB over perhaps the best OT to come out of college. And then he summed it up with "The Dallas Cowboys will not win a super bowl with Troy Aikman."

Okay.

I agree with the naysayers....this is the NFL with 53 man rosters. You don't have time to babysit a QB that isn't ready to play, even if he is the 3rd stringer. The "League" is about talent and if you happen to have character too, that's a bonus. My guess is they'll have some red zone packages for him, but sooner or later he has to start carrying his weight as a QB or he's gone.

he will sell enough jerseys to pay 10 of those 53 players' contracts. he will make big plays for them. he is one of the most determined athletes ive seen enter the draft. even if he never earns significant playing time, his motivational skills are worth their weight in $$$.

You're saying even if he's not any good he'll be a great motivator. This is the NFL. He hasn't earned anyone's respect in that locker room yet, and if he's not a great player, it's very unlikely that he will.

I think he's got a chance to be a decent qb, but that draft pick, in that spot, was poor.

being a coach i see a lot of benchwarmers pushing the starters to be a better player. you wouldnt work harder if you had a guy constantly busting his *** at your heels trying to take your spot..and your money? maybe you wouldnt...and thats why you would get beat out, and fired.

Clausen is a d-bag. He is basically another Adam James without the concussion in the shed.

You could pull any number of tapes of stuff Tebow needs to do better if you really wanted to.
You could say that for probably 75% of the starting QB's in the league. Hell if Vince Young's sorry *** can play in the NFL, nobody should count Tebow out.

I posted it was a mistake. Got roasted by some here. Knew he wasn't ready. Plus it's great to see Kiper look like a fool.
