Two for one for MSU. I told you guys that there was no USM/MSU coming. There weren't even any talks. The CL writer is a dumbass.

We got Memphis to do a 2 for 1? That's pretty impressive if true.
Yes it would be. I have yet to see it mentioned on the Memphis board, so I am beginning to wonder if my source was correct.

Because we already have a home-and-home scheduled with them in 2010 and 2011.

Which means if this is something new, it won't solve the 2011 schedule since we were going to play at Memphis anyway.

Never knew that. USM fans convieniently leave out the fact that ya'll have only beat us 12 times on the field of play rather than 14. ya'll just claim our forfeiture games. If that's the case. I claim that Mississippi State went to the 2007 NCAA Tournament Finals because Memphis put them out... A game which Memphis was forced to forfeit.

I consider the series tied at 12-12-1. I liked the seven wins in a row after the two forfeited games. I was there for every one of them. Of course I was there for the four out of seven losses after those seven wins also. The 7-6 1981 game in Jackson when both teams were ranked was by far the most brutal and hardest hitting game I have ever seen.

12-12-1. I consider the series 14-12-1 in favor of State, since we, you know, actually beat you on the field those two games and all. And our "ineligible player" played almost no part in the outcomes.

And we also punked your boy Brett twice. With Rockey Felker as our coach. Let that sink in a second.

Anyone, anywhere, anytime *

* Except State in Starkville or Ole Miss in Oxford

If you want to talk about getting punked, lets do it. One of your best teams in 1980 got ***** slapped like a junior high team by Reggie Collier. I was there. Reggie ran and threw all over your asses for a 42-14 win. It was hysterical watching him make your defense look like little boys. Priceless. Your team lost to three teams that year. Forida, Nebraska and Southern Miss.

I assume that means you have no legitimate rebuttal.

And he's right about the "anyone anywhere" ********, because y'all won't play OM or MSU at their place only.

ETA: where is this announcement that you started the thread off talking about? I still haven't seen it.

I remember when we didnt talk **** against USM. There wasnt any comparison. Now it seems like our new, adopted rival. What other fanbase is having a pissing contest with USM these days? exactly.........

behind the MVSU-Alcorn game when Totten and Rice were seniors (and Alcorn had a hell of a DB whose name escapes me right now). That record has probably been eclipsed now that Mississippi has expanded their stadium to 65,000. But trust me, that game was a seriously big-time college football game between two great teams and there were a hell of a lot of fans of both schools there.

as a kid. It was about 70/30 State to USM, as it always was. And the gate was split 50/50. And that's why we quit playing them. But I digress. You are correct, it was packed from top to bottom.
