That will make it a lot easier to get fans if all MSU players go to the same team.

Hopefully Birmingham won't get the State players.

While I love going out to the park to catch an occasional baseball game, I just can't watch much of it on tv and this time of year bores me to tears. Any kind of Spring football would be a blessing.

The only sport they'll be competing with locally is minor league baseball. I think they're setting their salary scale too high though. They're talking about $42,000 - $49,000 per player. They need to cut that almost in half if they want to make it. They'll still be able to get players because they're not going to be playing in the USFL for the money anyway. They're going to be playing to showcase themselves to try to get into the NFL. </p>

They'll still have Grizzlies basketball to compete with. It just depends on if and how far into the playoffs they go. Regardless I'll have season tickets.

to have the USFL back. I kind of wished the XFL had worked to be honest- but make it like a bad guy league- they should have brought in guys like Bill Romanowski instead of making it blue collar players. Later on, they could have gone after guys like Michael Vick, Pac Man Jones, and etc. Like the article said- the league was too gimmicky.

The USFL is where people like Kent Hull got their chance. I think it's good that they want to work with the NFL- that should give it a better chance of succeeding.

I always thought NFL Europe was a mistake that would've worked in the States. A minor league football team featuring regional players should be a hit. I enjoyed the XFL and watched the Maniacs every chance I got. Of course I'm just football starved in the spring and summer months. Is Pepper Rodgers still alive? If so prop his old *** up on the sideline.
