Anyone have any thoughts on if the game will be blacked out in Dallas next Thursday? I've got Dish Network and have all the FSN channels, but it seems like every damn thing on FSN South is blacked out... which to this point has been almost all baseball so maybe the MLB has some deal with blackouts.

Thoughts?

in Houston, the game will be shown here. However, if the rangers are playing a night game, Dallas will be blacked out.

Here is the list of FSN affiliates for the game, which someone posted several days ago:

I've got Time Warner Cable in Dallas and am hoping I'll be able to see the game on FSSW+ (ch. 960). I have no idea about blackouts, though.

I have dirct t.v. in fort worth... I went to the t.v. guide link and it was scheduled... I also went and googled the rangers schedule and they do indeed play sept 1, thur at 7:05pm...

what in the **** does this have to do with the opening of college football? whatever happened to simpler times when a thur night football game was nothing more than a can of corn? just flip on espn and done.. no hemroids or constipation involved.... used to cost $40 a month and everything was fine... now it's $90 and a pain in the ***... 900 channels and all this ********...

how do you find out if you'll be able to watch the GD game here in north texas? and when can you find out? not until gameday at 7 17'ing GD o clock? turn on the channel and it's blacked out? or will the rangers be on instead? can I pay $10 to get it elsewhere? will a sports bar have it? oh and I take it that I'll have to do a search and find out which one of those 17'ing 3 digit GD channels it will be on too... I was thinking ESPN but that would just be too 17'ing easy I guess...

17 this **** gives me a headache..... any relief/explanation/ assistance would be greatly appreciated

Try the smart search on your remote. I live on the western slope and am getting it on four channels, two in HD. Now I don't know if having Gameplan helps, but it certainly doesn't say blacked out for our area.

I just scrolled forward on 649 to Thu night - 5 days and 3 hours - and there it was with no blackout indicated.

In the past, if I encounter a blackout with Direct TV they will note that at the time and then switch to another available channel where it's not blacked out. I have been on the game plan with direct tv and usually only miss a couple games a year. I think we will get it and will be very disappointed not to.

Just to follow up I talked to Dish Network today. they said the only game that will be blacked out in Dallas that day will be the Browns vs Bears game that night. So you should be able to watch the game wherever it appears.
