Probably the best recruiting class.. They are long, and extremely athletic. I think if they can stay healthy it can be a HUGE year for them. Unfortunate because I absolutely HATE them. But oh well. BTW: That arab Taggart is pretty damn good to..
...the number one high school player in the nation, Xavier Henry, committed to Memphis live on ESPNU. Plus, they are still in on two other five star recruits, including the number one point guard in the nation, John Wall.
a few years ago, i watched him when he played up here at Iowa State. the guy had tons of talent, but **** for an attitude. just didnt seem to ever give the effort needed.
but he has really come into his own down in Memphis. already averaging a double double with 2 blocks per game...though the season is young.
I never minded Memphis football....kinda pulled for them actually. But I have always hated Memphis basketball and it is because of all the Vols fans in Memphis that turn Tigers fans in January. Really, really sucked we didn't beat them last year.
Hasn't Calipari been there long enough to get into some scandal or have the NCAA pay a visit? Maybe the NBA will come calling again.</p>
Calipari is creating a dynasty at Memphis. When signing the #4 recruiting class in the country is considered a somewhat down year for you in recruiting, it's a good thing. For those of you wondering who is complaining about that, ask a few Memphis fans. They lost the Morris twins to Kansas and only consider Tyreke Evans to be an immediate impact player, so of course this leads to a poor recruiting class. Nevermind the fact that they still signed 4 Top 100 players and one of the Top JUCO players in the land.
