....SUCKS!!!! Stuttering Lapides in the AM. He is not near as clever as he thinks he is. Oh and Cardinals of the 60s....that was 50 years ago you yellow tail wine *****. Then clueless Gaston at lunch....his co-host makes the show bearable. Then Cat and Cobra....really? Cat and Cobra? I guess the gay community likes sports talk too. Then finish it all with more stuttering and stammering with Wineburger and his ridiculous observations and top 10s. Go meet Yancy at the OM library, you tool!

Oh yeah, there is ESPN but Rome is a dumbass too and Gary Parish is 35 going on 12.

The end.

Will Askew before Lapides is decent if you can put up with Peter Edmistin (sp?).

You've got a point about Gary Parish, but with Calkins on there, and the guests he gets, that's probably the best show in Memphis.

That dude is terrible. It takes that stupid mother17er 30 minutes to get a complete thought out and uses the word "and" about 400 times doing it. That whole station needs to be blown up.

Great mixture of Sports, Humor, and nonSports stuff.<div>
</div><div>Heck, the guy had Dick Chaney on yesterday, so he gets pretty decent guest in his own right.</div>

On top of that, he loves bashing the Bulldogs.

I have not listened to Vernon in years but he was being groomed to fit right in at 56 when he started. Which includes slandering the Bulldogs constantly.

7-8: taking kids to school; usually either Brad Paisley, heavy metal or Don't Believe the Hype (trying to expand their exposure...don't judge me)
8-10: Out of Bounds on the net
10-11: Colin Cowherd because I'm usually too lazy to close the OOB stream
11-1: Greg Gaston and Eli Savoie on 560; Gaston is a pretty good guy and Eli is very level-headed; can't tolerate Rome
1-2: Pressbox on 560; those two guys are pretty good and don't really show favors
2-3: NOTHING. If you want pain, listen to John Rainey on 560. You'll eat your own face just to make it stop
3-4: Chris Vernon on 730. He's hysterical and fair.
4-5: Head to Head on the net. Love it.
5 until home: Head to Head on 92.1 until it plays out just north of Hernando.
I never get to listen to all of any show, because I just have the computer streaming all day at work. I listen to what I can. After 2pm, 560 is literally Chinese water torture. Parrish on 680 is usually just too vulgar for me, but he is a talented journalist and has good material/guests if constant sexual references aren't offensive to you. Lapides needs to be euthanized, and the 8-10 show is Stats Norsworthy and Dave "Tiger High Play by Play" Woloshin, who will make you worship David Kellum in comparison.

I used to listen to Vernon but his show is kind of dull.

Chris and Rob are pretty good and level headed on the Sports Bar. Wineberger is a moron and they make fun of him constantly with his stupid comments. Chris does a hilarious impression of Houston Nutt that he will break out into every once in a while. Rob tells it like it is. When we play well he complements us and when we suck he will say that too but he is pretty fair. He did say that State was one of the Top 5 places he has ever watched a college football game.

The rest of 56 is awful. Lapides show was old 15 years ago and it and Raineys abortion of air time are nothing but advertising for their sponsers and Rainey sports book business. Of the hour that Lapides is on, there is maybe 15 minutes of sports talk.
