That may be good, and then again it could backfire big time. Time will tell.

So we have 2 homes games the week of Thanksgiving. Then we one-up that genius idea with 3 home games right around Christmas. All when no students will be there.

Then we go on the road and in Tupelo when students WILL be on campus.

How 17ing idiotic can Selmon be?

The SMU game on the 28th is the same day as the Egg Bowl.

Probably had to play the Memphis game at the end of December to fit it in both teams schedules. That’s about when they played last year in Memphis. I imagine they’ll do a ticket promotion for that one to help fill the student void.

You’re trying to hard to find something to complain about.

Probably jumped the gun on the Thanksgiving games. But the Christmas ones are idiotic indeed. Perfect time to go on the road, or to some neutral sites, in bigger cities where there will be crowds. And it doesn't highlight our historical and notorious terrible attendance pre-SEC.

They are already playing a bunch of neutral games that they had to schedule in there to meet there series promise with those teams and those aren’t mid majors. They’re all from power conferences. Three mid major games at home during the holidays doesn’t mean anything. You’re complaining to complain sorry.

Playing in Sioux Falls on a Monday night in November? Who lost in a poker game and had to agree to that?

Seems like a good schedule overall. Pretty challenging.

Side note- does the fact that Jones Jr is used for the schedule release graphic mean he is actually on scholarship? I thought I read he was a walk-on during last season even.

This sure is refreshing change from the era where we’d play 8 SWAC and MEAC teams and be dumbfounded why we were in the NIT. Stans and Howland both lived that life, with a rare exception here and there.
