Let's be honest, he wasn't good enough get playing time at Ohio State. They reason they didn't play him wasn't because they didn't appreciate him.

....but he is good enough to play for us and that is all that matters (at least when it comes to our team). In this case, the portal is a good thing. The player is not the bad guy all the time. Coaches don't always tell the truth. They make big promises and sometimes don't follow through. If he wasn't good enough to play at Ohio State, fine. Let the kid go somewhere where they think he can help. Ohio State is not that good in basketball BTW.
