Doubles just finished. We took 2 of 3 (1 point). Singles are coming up next. To advance, State has to win 3 of 6 singles matches, while Ohio State has to win 4 of 6.

Ohio State evens the match at 1-1 with the first singles win.

We have a slight advantage in three of the remaining five singles, but it's going to be close.

3-2 State! Martinez Serrano adds a point.

Milanovic is a set away from clinching.

ETA: Baroni also just evened his match. So a third set win by him is another path.

We'll play Stanford in the quarters.

ETA: Their record is impressive. Their last loss was @ Virginia (overall 7-seed) in March. They swept through the first three rounds of the NCAA tournament, including a 4-0 win over South Carolina, who bounced us from the SEC tournament.

I just wanted to bring this back up and say Congrats to the HailState mens tennis team. Huge win and now on to the Elite 8. Awesome.

I like what we're doing in the 'other' sports. Tennis, soccer, track, mens golf, softball have all had great seasons and look to be in good shape going forward. I don't care that they aren't the Big 3, I want State to win at everything, and this helps. Winning breeds winning. I love to see the football players at the softball games, it's great to see them cheering like fans. I saw softball players tweeting at Ole Miss after this weekends baseball series, love that too. It's just good to see some success in any sports because it builds confidence and ties all the athletes closer to the school and each other.

It's a steep hill playing Stanford, but if MT pulls it out this week it might be the biggest win in the history of the program...? Pretty cool. Softball plays in the tournament later this week too, hopefully they can keep it going.

Then the boys need to go take care of business in CoMo, and we rollin baby. Let's go!!!
