Headline nails it! WVU players are their own worst enemies. They have the talent, showed it before the Nifty Nine switched to WVU. But their head and body are NOT in synch. Dribbling instead of passing is a self-inflicted way to lose. Kansas passes multiple times before getting a ridiculously open shot. Also, as Huggins said, "You have to look at the basket to make the shot." WVU players just go flying past and throw it up hoping that miraculously it will go in. Doesn't work that way, as 0-3 Big 12 record shows. Too often not in position to get the rebounds. Terrible defending straight-line drives. Anticipation is important for great teams. I'm hoping the resurrection begins tonight on ESPN+. I'll be watching and cheering them on. Let's hope their brains and body are on the same page for a change!

Failure in clutch situations, especially late in game, a killer again.

Can’t blame refs. Personals 27-26.
Turnovers close 10-7.
3’s close, 9-8.
WVU missed SIXTEEN 3’s, Baylor FOURTEEN. No glory there for either team.

Baylor 11-2 in free throws in final 2 minutes. WVU 5-1. That’s 6-point swing on MADE free throws in final 2 minutes. WVU lost by 5 points.

Baylor missed EIGHT free throws in game. WVU missed NINE.

Improvement, still losing it down stretch in clutch situations. Could have been 3-1 instead of 0-4 in Big 12 because Kansas is Kansas and almost no one will beat Kansas in America.

Saturday at Oklahoma, next Wednesday TCU comes to Morgantown.

My heart aches.

I don't know why any WVU would delight in "I told you so" responses when my beloved alma mater is floundering so badly. Not classy or supportive.

Well the fouls in last 2 minutes were intentional variety.

AS DOES EVERY TEAM BEHIND LATE IN THE GAME. POINT STILL IS: CAN'T BLAME REFS WHEN TEAM DISINTEGRATES IN FINAL 2 TO 5 MINUTES WHEN EVERY PASS, EVERY SHOT, EVERY REBOUND IS SO CRUCIAL. IT MADE WVU 0-4 IN BIG 12 INSTEAD OF 3-1. KANSAS DOESN'T LOSE VERY OFTEN SO NO DISAPPOINTMENT THERE.

Totally agree with the mental toughness thing, but how can it be fixed? These kids are more cotteled, spoiled and pampered than ever, which leads to them being entitled and mentally weak. I mean, a local kid, Bridges, who was supposed to know what WVU basketball was all about, and what Huggins was all about and he left because he got yelled at. This is a WV born kid, not some Kalifornia weakling. He doesnt want yelled at because its hurt his wittle feelings. He wants "coached"..... awww, how sweet. Which is ******** or he would've actually listened to what Hugging was yelling at him to fix. He wants cottled, and to be told he's special, not "coached". Mentally tough hardly exists with these kids anymore. They act like the teenage girls did when I was young, and a lot like the modern liberal men act, funny enough.
