Message board wars - STOP IT

I think it's time to put an end to this internet "board war" crap.


SPS is a board founded by state people to get away from Swan Lake, where you could openly voice your opinion. It's evolved over the years, but remains highly popular. Are there rebels on there? Sure. It is what it is, so leave it at that. You can talk State, Ole Miss, Southern or whatever, it's a pretty broad sports board.

Elitedawgs is a board founded by state people that only want to discuss state, nothing else.


The common thread here is both were founded by state people. There's no reason whatsoever for users from one board to be taking trash or trying to rub it in the face of another user on either board.

At the end of the day, we are all state fans. Celebrate State, that's what its all about. There are no winners in message board wars. The only losers who are actual losers that participate in message board wars.

I am so uncool and disconnected that I cant even begin to imagine how something like this is possible.

If a person doesnt like another message board, then dont go to it. Seems pretty simple to me.

As for the trolling to create tension, well that just seems even more pathetic than those who feel tense over a message board.

Getting VERY old and they have made reading BOTH sites for the casual poster like myself very unbearable in the recent weeks. I think mods/admins are aware that these types of pissing contests will probably hurt the bulk of the page views that come from "Long Time Readers, first time posters". For someone like myself who has no real world connection to any of the mods/admins on either, I really could give a rats bunghole about some petty personal problems any prominent posters have with each other. I post here, I post there, I post on 247. I shouldn't feel like I have to pick a side in the ED/SPS crap-flinging contest going on. I'm a MSU fan looking for MSU/sports/OT discussion and each board provides that. Simple as that. In all honesty, some people take the internet too seriously. It's made visiting both sites crappy lately. It is what it is.... move on as men (women, rebels, whatever you are). It's stupid.

I float back and forth. I like C34 & like Stephen & Hadad too. I don't mind so much the bear fans having a voice over here & sometimes don't mind plugging in my Elitedawg headphones & NOT hearing it too. I have no problem with either board. I'm with slick on this one, not only does the guy put up sweet videos but he also makes a good argument for a cease fire too. Good job slick!

I'll tell you what.....myself & DS can put together a friendly competition of 3 events HD & C34 can compete in. We can impartially judge/score the event with the loser having to tell the other what a great poster he is. I like good ole oil the watermelon races myself. Lol.

If war makes rational men do irrational things, what does it do for those that are already irrational? Several posters that claim to want the betterment if the board only serve to cause more tension. I can't understand why The General just doesn't court marshall these few scalawags and give these gentlemen their walking papers. The real travesty of war is how the ambition of so few can cause so much pain to so many. I look forward to the day when we can be done with this skirmish between brothers and you can accompany me to football contests in the fall under the sparkling lights of Davis Wade.
