I'm new here and I would appreciate some input on this. Anyone have any idea what's going to happen to the Metro Suburban especially Metro Suburban East football? I'm hearing that Walther Christian"s numbers are terribly low and they have had coaching issues so they might not field a football team. I'm hearing that Guerin lost a bunch of players after Kozlowski was let go, and even though they hired a new coach, that they may not have the numbers to field a football team, and Max Preps does not show them having week one or two games. I heard that Chicago Christian is also struggling to keep its program going. It's a possibility that all three schools may not field a football team, and even worse I'm hearing that both Walther and Guerin are struggling to stay open. As an Elmwood Park alum, I'd like to see my old school have teams to play. What happens if all three schools can't field a team? Would EP get automatic wins? Would the conference fold? Would EP have to replace those schools on the schedule? If anyone can shed some light on that process I would appreciate it.

They would get forfeit wins, great for W/L record not for the kids or fans. Finding one replacement game is tough...finding three?! might be playing other teams who lost games twice.

Any confirmation out there on Walther CC or Guerin fielding teams?

All I have heard regarding Guerin has come from this board, which has seemed to come from parents unhappy with the current situation there. I can say that Chicago Christian has their numbers up (including an uptick in incoming freshmen) and a good coaching staff in place. Their program isn't going anywhere.
