Both are great defensively. Is it just me, or is IU’s offense more explosive? I don’t think Miami will have much success running against them. I think UI will be more balanced on offense and will win. Don’t think it will be a blow out but didn’t think tonight’s game would be a blow out either. Yes, jumping the gun on tonight’s game, but I don’t see Oregon slowing them down.

Every game's a season, but IU is the far superior team. Miami should have blown Ole Miss out, but they made enough mistakes to almost lose the game. IU doesn't do that, at least they haven't yet.

Yes, and Beck is more of a game manger than a big play guy compared to Mendoza. They rely on a run/pass balance. Will be fun to watch.

What's a bit crazy is IU isn't doing any thing special, play or scheme wise. They're just executing all phrases of the game at an elite level. If you have any weakness they're gonna expose you.

I think that is the key. They _execute_. How many times do you hear coaches say stuff like "we had guys in position, but they didn't make the play." Indiana's players make the plays. They aren't the most talented team on paper, but whether it's a product of being coached-up, or just finding the right guys, they execute. They look like one of those 1980s Soviet hockey teams that have played with each other for a decade.

If both teams play to the same standard (ie, they each play their normal game, or each play their best game, etc), Indiana wins by multiple TDs once gain. Miami has to hope Indiana has a bad game - but that's hard to imagine given the way Cignetti seems to have found the secret sauce to having a team ready to play, despite all of the distractions.

Mendoza is one of the most accurate passers I've seen in quite a while. Hard to defend when he hits his spots and threads the needle consistently.

Agreed, he is definitely accurate and also doesn’t put the ball in jeopardy. He should do very well in the NFL.
