Definitely a surprise to me how good they look so far, I thought Beck was ok, but he is better than I expected…
They look good
if I were to point out some teams that are better than I expected, Miami, FSU, Ga Tech, Vandy, Indiana, and Tennessee come to mind

Like myself any others have said, there is zero excuse for "rebuilding" and all this garbage.
You have thousands of transfers each year. Go get guys that you need.
Could we also please stop hearing about how Rex Guthrie is an NFL player???

Agreed. Indiana?? For crying out loud they have sucked forever and in year one their coach had them humming due to great transfer portal additions and now in year two they are doing the same. Rhule’s preacher boy snake oil salesman act is wearing thin. I can’t stand to listen to him anymore. His post game presser yesterday was like fingernails on a chalk board. “We just needed to make some plays” … “It isn’t scheme or conditioning, we just didn’t make some plays when it mattered”. Blah blah blah. Well duh. Hey coach, you need great players to make great plays. Notice Michigan’s athleticism on defense? Their open field tackling was fierce. We constantly whiffed. Why? Because our players aren’t as good that’s why.
We have failed to recruit and coach our two lines properly. And our running back coach can’t recruit worth a sh$t. Our running back room is a disgrace. And Uncle Donnie has proven he can’t coach.
Thank God for Dylan. Without him we would have been rolled yesterday. And his uncle can thank his lucky stars for Dylan too. Without him Donnie would have been fired.
Heck Indiana looks like #1, they destroyed the #9 team. I'm not sure anyone else would do that to Illinois
They are just killing teams.
Rushing for 300 yards a game. Putting up huge numbers, it never seems like they get sacked. They constantly put pressure on the other team.
That coach turned around a soft team faster than any in history. He’s cocky and his team plays with aggression that reflects Cig. Our team reflects the softball questions lobbed at our pacifist coach during a presser
Might not find out how good they are until the playoffs. Schedule they play is awful. Beat a top 25 team in Notre Dame. Florida is awful. Though Florida State is ranked in top 10 but jury is out on them, beat Bama but they look pretty similar to last year. If they beat FSU they probably go undefeated with that schedule.
Illinois was not even close to being a top 10 team.
I totally agree but the point is that Indiana was pretty much the worst P5 school in history...in two years Cig is what, 15-2? Something like that.
He is killing all the crappy teams and making it look easy. We would be having a Rhulegasam if he could beat Illinois by 60.
Yep. Tried to watch #21 yesterday. Was he trying too hard? Maybe. Young still, but he was not ready for the speed of the game vs UM.
So Marty Brown has been a contributor for Miami, so not trusting our RB coaches evaluation skill set. I sometimes wonder if DR nixed adding him due to his friendship with Emmett.

After losing to yet another unranked team and seeing Indiana crush a top ten team, I started to wonder why Rhule doesn’t get more heat for his pathetic record against ranked teams. Everyone just wants to praise him for previous rebuilding efforts even though he could never beat anyone good back then as well.
He is just a continuation of Scott Frost but with better PR skills. I can’t take him seriously anymore until he starts backing up what he preaches with real wins not moral ones.
Here we are in the epic year 3 of Matt Rhule pixie dust magic and we still can’t field a team that can beat any top 25 opponent.
Forget stadium renovations or any other non essentials. If Nebraska is serious about returning to relevance we need to look at schools like Texas Tech who went from a perennial nobody to being a really good team by going out and spending a boatload of NIL money and buying a great team. Who are we kidding? Nebraska is not a name that means a damn thing in college football to anyone outside of Nebraska under the age of 40. And the days of being successful by being a “developmental program” are deader than dead. Just ask coaches like Dabo Sweeney if downplaying transfer portal NIL guys is working out for him.
Nebraska needs to buy itself much better offensive and defensive lineman. Dylan, if he even returns next year and doesn’t bolt for a team with real championship potential, deserves to have a championship caliber offensive line in front of him for his Junior year — which will probably be his last year. The problem is however that his uncle can’t coach. So Dylan is just screwed.
That may be true, but they are a petty legit top 25 team and I don't think many can beat top 25 teams by 50+

Who knew in August when NU v Cincy was being played, we were watching a couple of 7-6 titans that would both implode coming down the stretch.
They couldn't even make the ACC championship. They allowed Virginia and Duke to take their spot
