pretty much confirmed it. The sideline reporter said she asked the coach if Dyer was in big trouble or little trouble and he said "just trouble." Then the AD wouldn't confirm or deny that Dyer had been suspended for half of next season and when she asked if he would be back next year the AD said that as long as he met all the conditions they had that he would be able to come back if he chose to. When I heard that, I just assumed the rumor must be true.

What do the Aubies suspect is the reason behind all this? Academics? Wants to stay with Malzahn? Or is there some juicy gossup?

some are saying "we're loaded at RB !!11!1!111!"

There is speculation that his release is not grade related, but knee related. As in Moultrie knee.

I had heard from my Auburn connections right before Malzahn left for ASU that Dyer had failed multiple drug tests and that Malzahn had covered it up. Chizik and Company told Malzahn to get out and that he better find a job quickly. Very soon after Malzahn took the job,I was toldthat Dyer was going to transfer back to the state of Arkansas and go to ASU with Malzahn.

Word around Auburn since Dyer got therehas beenthat he wanted the ball a ton and wanted to be the star on offense, even when Cam was there. Dyer apparently demanded the ball a ton this year in certain situations and that the coaching staff didn't even try and bring him back after he failed the multiple drug tests because of how much of a cancer he was to the team.

Auburn has some young butunproven talent at RB. McCalebb can't carry the load next year, so someone will have to step up. They actually have a very similar RB situation to us. The veteran RB is a shorter quicker back with a bunch of versatile but unproven younger backups. </p>
