I had heard from my Auburn connections right before Malzahn left for ASU that Dyer had failed multiple drug tests and that Malzahn had covered it up. Chizik and Company told Malzahn to get out and that he better find a job quickly. Very soon after Malzahn took the job,I was toldthat Dyer was going to transfer back to the state of Arkansas and go to ASU with Malzahn.
Word around Auburn since Dyer got therehas beenthat he wanted the ball a ton and wanted to be the star on offense, even when Cam was there. Dyer apparently demanded the ball a ton this year in certain situations and that the coaching staff didn't even try and bring him back after he failed the multiple drug tests because of how much of a cancer he was to the team.
Auburn has some young butunproven talent at RB. McCalebb can't carry the load next year, so someone will have to step up. They actually have a very similar RB situation to us. The veteran RB is a shorter quicker back with a bunch of versatile but unproven younger backups. </p>
