ETA: What I mean by example is not stadium runs. I mean lifetime ban from school sports. You never get to wear a uniform again. One of the main problems we have is that we don't have the stomach to really punish evil. If we did, there'd be a lot less nonsense.

Probably the last time the injured kid will ever put on a football uniform. I would 100% pursue an assault charge
Yup. I can understand him being dumb enough to not realize how dangerous that is, but can't have dumb people thinking that assault is ok just because it's on a field or court. Seems more dumb than malicious but still can't have it.
Seen something much worse where kids in youth (probably Jr. High'ish age) baseball games are smoking the catcher after a force out at home when the catcher already has his back to them making another throw and dubmass adults think that's no problem and just hardnosed baseball. Plays over for the runner and is required to slide even if he had a play at the plate, and you can't just spear somebody in the back going full speed because you were in live play a few seconds before. Only way to stop kids from getting permanently injured by dumb *** holes is to make the dumb *** holes suffer the consequences (maybe not permanently if the player isn't permanently injured, but at least require several years of sweating out probation and going through the expungement process).
