Anyways anyone with me that if OSU wins and Penn St wins the Big 10 championship game that the B1G has a good chance for 2 in the playoff?

And the LOL Bowl is tomorrow too, right?

Go Michigan. I can't stand the Buckeyes mainly because of the crazy fans here in Columbus.

I think if OSU wins it they are in. PSU winning the B10 would have to be compared to Washington and _ichigan for the 4th spot assuming Clemson wins the ACC.

That being said, I think Wisky beats the Nits in the B1GCG.

Im a Big 10 fan and fan of where my Raiders go...so I like the Buckeyes. No current Raiders on Michigan so.......

Definitely would be for that final spot and I think PSU has a better chance than Wisky making it due to the win over OSU.

I hate both teams, but will pull for Michigan because I really really hate Ped State. Think Wisky will win B10 championship. Mich offense hurt by loss of starting QB, so OSU gets the win tomorrow.

Bones, it will depend upon who wins the B1G title game. I believe the only way PSU or Wisc gets in the final 4 is by being champs.

This is such a great football debate and one i've had extensive arguments about.

I think a lot of people get lost in conference play and what it means. To me, winning your conference is just that: a conference title. Each conference decides how its champs are chosen: is there a title game; is the schedule balanced; what are the tie breakers; do only conference games decide it: do out of conference games decide...etc etc.

Based on the above, it seems to me that being a conference champion should have no bearing on who plays in the NCAA final four.

I think if Ohio State wins, they should be in.

I think if Penn State wins, we have to wait in see how things play out. As of right now, if everything holds true and Penn State and Ohio State win out, as does Washington, I think you have to go with Washington.

Good God though. Could you imagine how pissed you are if you are on the Penn State team in that situation.

Washington just crushed Washington State

Pac 12 title game will be Washington vs either Colorado or USC depending on what happens tomorrow.

Colorado in the top 10 - but I think it would be better for Washington to play USC again. IF UW wins the rematch - easier for the committee to slot UW as the 4th team for a shot at Alabama.

Indeed. My post is more about the possibility of the B1G getting two in. I think if Wisky wins then they have an excuse to exclude them and thus I think the committee does. That decision is a little more difficult with PSU considering they won the conference AND beat OSU.

They would have a legit reason to be furious. How good is the PSU law school? I kid, but do I?

Or, what if PSU loses to Mich State, OSU beats Michigan in a tight battle, then OSU wins B1G title game.
Do they take OSU and a two loss Michigan?

I dont think they do. I think the loser of OSU/Mich is out for sure. Had they both been undefeated I think there would be a good chance for both which is also what I was hoping for a few short weeks ago.

Michigan State lost to the Illini. I cant entertain theories that require them winning.

agreed bones, I think if they were both undefeated, they both play well against each other, they would both be in. Not the case.

The Big ten needs to re-align. Rutgers needs to get its head out of its ***. Illinois will be good. Maybe not great, but good. ND blew it, should be a full time big ten member. Now, with coaching problems, ND is going to have to compete for kids that might also want to play for Lovie Smith.

How can Baylor and TCU both become good in the same season, and bad in the same season.

USC can't believe they themselves are good and bad in the same season.

Why is this thread hijacking itself.

Really, Alabama is the only good team in the SEC this season. Really, maybe the last three. Last season, SEC teams were average in the regular season, got incredibly bowl games, and looked better than they were. Two years ago, the SEC got exposed.

This is what happens when i finally have time.

Michigan State will beat PSU tomorrow.

Bones, PSU law school is pretty good. In state, it gets lost as there are two ivy league schools in state.

Who remembers that drunk post from two years ago by dogz?

Just think about dean. The cubs won the series and MC did not make the playoffs.

Did anyone think MC even had a shot at missing the playoffs this season?

Look, trump is the president.

I'm not 100% convinced that if MS beat LA in a close game tomorrow i still won't rank LA ahead of MS. They will have split the season series and LA had a much much much stronger regular season. As a matter of fact and record, this was one of MS's worst regular seasons in years, and an above average regular season for LA.

I really fubbed the DSR this season, don't blame me though. I had America to save - and save I did.

Who is the most intelligent poster? MW, Dr. Mirakle? Where do I stand. Does it change things if you realize i just ended a question with a period?

Ok.

Herman, stay in Houston.
Fleck, stay in WM.

The interview of Herman by the ESPN reporter was terrible. It was akin to a c level interrogation by a penn state law grad.

From the games I saw, admittedly with the bias of being a Hawkeye fan and seeing more of their games, I am surprised to say that I think PSU is better than Michigan and Wisconsin, and moreover I would be very shocked if MSU beats them tomorrow, but we will see. Anything can happen this time of year I guess.

Just that he's been putting in work in the weight room. He's a student of the game so I assume he's doing what it takes in that area. OSU is a tough place though. I hope we do see him on the field next year, but they stack 4 star players.

not sure PSU is better than Mich or Wiscy, but do think they are better than MSU. I'm calling this one on pure upset ability.

Based on what I have seen PSU has more offensive firepower than Wisky. The Badgers have the defensive advantage but Barkley and the QB are the difference. Add in the TE and PSU's offense is well balanced.

But look at how MSU handled Rutgers. Yeah, just kidding.
They did play well last week against tOSU, so I will say MSU ends their year on a high note and knocks off PSU.
If dogz starts using capital letters I would suspect that there is alcohol involved.

Regardless if Washington played Alabama in playoffs, Alabama would take them to the woodshed. I don't see anyone beating Bama except possibly OSU.

I think you are right on all accounts. However, my USC opinion is based mostly on what people are telling me.

I don't need my bubble burst.;)

I prefer to live in the bubble that says Washington has a chance to beat the mighty Bama. But unfortunately I agree with you. I don't think Anyone close to Bama. Outside shot would be a team that has a dynamic QB that is dual threat.... a team like that might be able to beat them. That is not UW. Maybe OSU or Clemson.

I now return to my bubble where UW kicks *** and will beat USC in the rematch and give Bama a game.

Pretty funny. I have to give you credit for sticking with your team. lol
That would be two tough games. If they beat both I'd say they would deserve the national championship. Unfortunately for UW it's not a dream that will come true.

Are you smarter than MW? Where do you rank me? Does it help that without researching, I know the correct stress in Mirakle?
Oh, trust me it's not a matter of who's smarter...myself or MWittman. Because it is you who is smartest here. You are our leader...the head honcho...the straw who stirs the drink. When you post, we all seek knowledge. When you speak, we gather. Without you, we are an Island of Lost Souls.

You look out at us, crack your whip and ask..."What is the law?" And we reply in unison, "Not to eat meat. That is the law...are we not men?"

Then you crack your whip again and ask "What is the law?" And we reply in unison " not to go on all fours. That is the law... are we not men?"

And finally you crack the whip once more and ask "What is the law?" And we reply in unison " Not to spill blood. That is the law... are we not men?"
