"People underestimated us this year, and I don't think that was really fair to my players or to my program," Cronin told me. "I would say the same for Houston. We've still been disrespected nationally. We've got teams with nine losses that are ranked. I don't understand it." - Mick Cronin

I would assume Mick was referring to two weeks ago Louisville was 18-8 and ranked #18 and Wisconsin was 17-8 and ranked #22 while UC was unranked. The Cards and Badgers had the most losses in the poll with 8.

Referencing Louisville might be a stretch. There are currently 4 nine loss teams ranked in the top 25.

It’s pretty easy to get that respect he says he’s not getting. Win something. He ought to thank his lucky stars that he’s not a football coach in the AAC. At least in basketball they get to prove themselves on the court in the NCAA tournament.

The best the AAC champion in football can hope for is a game against an under-motivated 3 or 4 loss SEC team in the annual Group of 5 Placation Bowl.

Cronin's alright in my book.
Like I said before, there’s a natural dislike for Mick because he coached at a previous conference rival but he’s also linked to part of our coaching history. I know a lot of fans want to separate themselves from that. Can say the same about Willard at Seton Hall. He’s done a great job as well.

By the way does anything Cumberland looks like Nwora on steroids? Jordan could use some of his toughness.
