it's because MTSU is really good, but don't worry because Memphis will get better every week and win 6 games.

Or, to the rest of us on Planet Earth, it's because Memphis is farking horrible. Hope they stay that way into next year.

Now that the hopes of being 3-0 after Vandy have changed to reality, it's possible you could be 1-6 after MTSU.

Not saying likely, but possible.

Tennessee State held Jackson St to 7 points tonight in victory.

Just like the poster earlier who said Auburn may not be good because La Tech was getting beat by Navy.

Like I said then, maybe Navy is pretty good. And in this case, maybe MTSU isn't bad.

but hope springs eternal....we might beat Vandy or MTSU. The real question is, "will the rebels finish 10-2 or 11-1?"

Since you beat Memphis as bad as they did?

All I was saying is how terrible Memphis is. I know full well that we may very well lose to MTSU.

Neither. And they won't be in Atlanta in December unless they're Christmas shopping.

That would be generalizing. I know damn well you didn't think that necessarily. And Ikm pretty sure Costanza would have never made that prediction. But many posters here talked about the possibility. Are you saying you have no recollection of this?

is not the same thing as many people believing it would happen. I certainly had hopes that Auburn would not be very good and we could win. I know understand how bad our team is. I still think 2-1 is a possibility, simply because we'll be playing Vandy. I also think it's possible that the Rebels will win the SECW this year, but probably won't because they will lose to Bama.

Make light of it all you want, but I won't be shocked if Memphis goes 6-6 or 7-5. They are not a good football team, but CUSA is weak as ****. They went 7-6 a couple years back despite going 0-3 against the Sun Belt.

CUSA is a joke as a whole. Memphis is a bad team. They're better than your average 1AA, but they're not a good 1A team.

Of course there were some. As many people there are on this board there were some that said we would be 3-0.

OM beat Memphis by 31. MTSU beat them by 17. So no, MTSU is not a top 10 team. And by the way, you should be giving Bama some **** today -- they were only up by 6 on FIU with 3 minutes left in the third. I guess Bama isn't a top 10 team either, right? Penn State only beat Syracuse by 21. Texas had a terrible first half against Wyoming. Etcetera, etcetera.

There were definately more people saying hell no to 3-0, but you may want to check preseason prognosticators and the original thread in which I argued extensively with Todd4State and others about the fact that Auburn was at home and had more talent. Probably more 3-0's than most remember.

Quite a few normal posters took 3-0 (bonedaddy, Mutt, Stansfield, etc). Many said 2-0 and Auburn was a tossup.

The realist here knew you guys are still lacking talent, but lots of posters convinced themselves that it was only Crooms coaching that was hurting you.

Realistically, it was his recruiting, coaching, and lack of development that hurt you guys.

I am more optimistic about your future than some of the posters I read last night. It's just going to take longer than those posters convinced themselves it would.
