Coach Phil Gross. Former player at Henrico & Lee-Davis, former HC at Amelia and asst. coach at Hanover.

I actually talked to him this past weekend and will have an article up within the next day.

I like what I’m hearing. It’s going to be fun watching this play out this coming season. Sure, they lost a few key players, but guess what, every team does, every year. My gut tells me that Midlothian will be a formidable team. Anyone, even the ones we call the big boys, better come to play. With the success they had this past season, they have every reason to believe in themselves. We already know that the community’s support is at an all time high. I expect good things.

Little bit of irony... Troy Taylor succeeded Gross at Amelia. Now the two will face one another for the first time ever this season.

I also put a bug in Gross ear that being as he used to coach Sam Rogers, would be great in the years ahead to see a Midlothian-Hanover meeting.
