Public service announcement...tomorrow your Twitter timeline will be littered with Ole Miss fans making fun of it.

Do they instruct our players to promote this on social media, or does everyone of our players snap a selfie out of instinct?

Can we make fun of your coaches comparing recruits to fish bc that's pretty awkward too.

What's awkward about it? Have you ever dressed in a costume for an event? College kids have swaps and dress up. What's the difference? They are getting fired up for the start of the season. What's awkward is wearing penny loafers and scarfs as your normal attire. Typical arrogant ******* attitude expected from your ilk.

Agreed. I think it's an awesome way to finish off summer workouts and break for camp...

Yep

College kids dressing up for a midnight lift is awkward. College kids wearing a red bow tie with red pants and penny loafers walking around saying hotty toddy to other grown men is perfectly normal

You forgot the red suspenders. It's what makes the whole ensemble. Without them you've make the biggest rebel fashion faux pas known to man. Get your **** right, man.

If you played sec ball when you were 18-22 years old and 80+ people, who you consider family, was dressing up as ridiculous as possible to do a final summer workout before the season officially starts, you wouldn't do it? No, you would do it and you'd enjoy the **** out of it. This thing isn't for fans, it's for the players who busted their asses all summer to have a little fun on their last night before their season starts.

The players enjoy it and I enjoy seeing the costumes...some of which are terrible, some of which are awesome, but it's always entertaining. I understand bear mockery of it as well, but as long as we like it, I don't give a 17 what they think. If it was embarrassing to a significant level, I would feel differently, but it's not. 4 outa 5 breeds this type of sort of bitterness from those types. 17 'em. Russell as that air bender guy was classic. I would dress as a can of swag.

And your "Confederate Ball" or whatever the hell you call it isn't? I mean white guys and gals dressing up as confederate generals and scarlet o'hare at a plantation full of African-American workers made to play the part is sort of........

If Ole Miss players were doing it instead, there would be endless threads here about it. Just the nature of a rivalry. It's obviously a sore spot or everyone wouldn't have responded in the way they did.

We don't have any women on the football team. I realize OM can't say that. I see where you're confused.

Doesn't the football team have a formal at some point too? You've got to keep it fresh. If you treat it like a job the players will act like employees. If dressing up like Mortal Kombat characters helps, by all means.

Yes, at which point the OM folks will come over here to **** on the players choice of formal wear.
