Surely it has an SVideo port.

Go to WM, get a decent (and cheap) SVideo cable and a audio cable (headphone jack on one end and red and white plugs on the other), F4 (monitor switch command). Probably wont cost you $10 between the two cables.

/I watched many an episode of LOST using this exact method.

My laptop does have a s-video.

hold up wait...my laptop at work has a dvi port. I use it at work with nice samsung monitor/hdtv..actually don't know if its a monitor or a hdtv. Maybe both...

Wouldn't it look better through the dvi port? Think I'll try that.

I use playon and love it. It allows for all internet content video to be broadcast to another device like a PS3, Xbox, and other network devices like my samsung blu-ray player that allow for networked media server capability. It also allows for connection to mobile devices. So, on my tablet, I have the playon app and can watch all of the ESPN3 video without worrying about the WatchESPN app from anywhere.

Has anyone tried this..http://www.playon.tv/content-channels

Supposedly you install this on your PC, then go power up a PS3 which is connected to a TV and bam...

Good find FlabLoser, however it does not work. At least in my experiences. I attempted using this site for the opening game last year as well as this year and it does not work. Rather it puts a fishing virus on your computer to steal credit card as password information. Be careful!

When I get done with birds (poker) this morning I will post all info I have on how to watch the game online. There is one option that should be perfect and cost less than $7 for the game, and another option that will cost less than $20 for access to all games on Saturday.

Does your TV have a DVI port? You may need an adapter if not.

You may have a couple of options here. If the TV has the DVI port, then you will get a better picture. Problem is that audio won't pass through. If your TV does not have a DVI port, then there are adaptors out there that will allow a DVI to HDMI connection. Again, no audio support through the connection. You would have to separately set up the audio needs with speakers through the computer or another, separate, outlet.

My laptop does have a s-video.

Im thinking it will just be easier to do svideo and an the audio cable described in my previous post. The picture quility is perfectly fine. Like I said, I watched 2 seasons of LOST this way and it looked as good as network TV.

How so? ATV doesn't have an ESPN3 app.

I assume he is saying you can stream it from your phone or ipad to appleTV. That is what I do for all of our baseball games on Hailstate TV.

ESPN3 did have it block so you could not use Airplay to send the games to AppleTV but they have changed it to where you can use Airplay.

I highly recommend it if you have Hailstate tv for baseball season.

Unless you jailbreak your iOS device, Apple has a lot of stuff blocked through the HDMI port. My iPad won't stream HBOGO through hdmi. Haven't gone through the trouble of jailbreaking it.

I am not talking about an HDMI cord. Airplay is a program that comes on all ipads and the new OS system for macs that streams whatever is on your ipad to apple tv. It is HD quality and simple to use.
