That was the name of my ZZ Top cover band......That Waxing Gibbous moon will pose a problem.
His son, Mason, is on this year’s BR team. Sophomore.1993 State Championship was an Ice Bowl, severely limiting Terrance Marable on that brutal ISU astro turf, but the Marian Spartans prevailed. What a brutal weather game.
How dare you attempt to co-opt Mr. Gordon Lightfoot...You leave Gitche Gumee out of this...Really? People on this board are going to complain about Illinois weather at the end of November...when the "Gales of November turn gloomy?"
Come on man!! This is football weather! LOL!! It's only cold if you lose.
Yes I believe when they decided to put the bid in a few years ago it was with the understanding that they would forego any potential first round hosting for the duration of the contract. If ISU would have beaten SIU would they have had to turn down a home playoff game this Saturday?
Was there in 1993 and also 2003 Friday at U of I. Sat thru all 4 games and didn't thaw out until sometime in 2004. Worth it tho.1993 State Championship was an Ice Bowl, severely limiting Terrance Marable on that brutal ISU astro turf, but the Marian Spartans prevailed. What a brutal weather game.
Yea I'd really like to see them move the season up 1 week and be done before Thanksgiving.Highs of 50 & 52 degrees in Bloomington last Friday and Saturday when everyone's available

That motel 6 on Main will be bumpingAnyone hear of plans of teams leaving very early Saturday or maybe even coming in Friday due to snow predictions? Hotel bill will crush budgets, but safety first for the kids. Attendance may be awful SAturday
College kids still on campus -too crowded.Yea I'd really like to see them move the season up 1 week and be done before Thanksgiving.
Iowa played their championship games last week on UNI's campus. It can be done.College kids still on campus -too crowded.
That would be the ultimate beta move to postpone the games due to snow. C'mon everyone has to deal with the elements. It's just snow, not a hurricane.Do you think there is any chance they postpone Saturday's games? We are talking snow levels never before seen in championship games.
The will move it to Sunday and charge doubleBiggest concern for the IH$A is that the snow will lower attendance and cost them money.
10 years ago no, now......I wouldn't be surprised. Most teams coming have at least a 2 hour drive in good weather, in snow that could be doubled, I see tons of fans, students and alums skipping for TV....I don't think they will reschedule but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. And the IHSA will just up the gate fee to make up any loses.....now would they still be televised on Sunday?Do you think there is any chance they postpone Saturday's games? We are talking snow levels never before seen in championship games.
And the rental that certainly has no provision for snow.Biggest concern for the IH$A is that the snow will lower attendance and cost them money.
The last game will probably start at 10pmThundersnow will put a damper on things. That would cause a lightning delay
