is easier than last year.
Rhode Island is a good team, but we should be able to take them, and we should be able to beat Michigan State, to. We have the warm weather advantage for both of those.
As far as the Corpus Christi Tournament, that's a really prestigious tournament. I think we will do OK out there. And we play Texas A&M Corpus Christi, not the Aggies for two games.
But, anyway, I think the schedule is easier because we have more games against some SWAC teams than last year, we have a lot more teams like Southeast Louisiana on the weekend, and SEMO State.
Plus, as far as midweek games, we play a grand total of zero out of state. We play at Hattiesburg late in the season, and then we have three at Trustmark Park throughout the year. It's very rare that we play two midweek games, and that's going to save our pitching for the weekend.
I think this is smart scheduling on the part of John Cohen and Tyler Bratton because I think it gives us a great chance to make a Regional and do well in the SEC, and at the same time, the Whataburger Classic in Corpus Christi keeps our schedule from being a complete joke.
