anyone know what happened with Mike Edwards? I read where an ambulance came to practice and he had to be taken to the hospital. Any ideas?

UK isn't releasing anything specific other than it was scary and he was taking to the hospital and "everything checked out". My impression is they were concerned about something in the neck or spine area and perhaps a very severe concussion. Everything turned out okay and he will be fine which is the good news.
He was released after just a few hours, so I don't think it was as bad as they originally thought. Maybe he was knocked unconscious but checked out after he came back to.
I really like Edwards game, he will be a key contributer on defense. The the last thing we need this spring is some key injuries.
Edwards is going to be a big player for us for the rest of his career. Hopefully this was nothing and he will be ready in the fall. Love the present and future of our secondary. It's been a long time since I've felt this good about our defensive backfield.
From him chasing a couple of RBs this year (too big a lead to catch, but wow the way he closed ground) I think he must have GREAT game speed.
Or that Vandy receiver that Edwards popped to break up that pass down the sideline. That was a play where his talent jumped off the screen at you
Our DB's are the best in UK history and I dont think its even close I cant remember a time with this much talent in either of the secondary spots, and we have it at both CB and S in droves.
