I love how the talking heads on Sirius who are saying Riley will build the program back up.

"Build it back up" ? He inherited a 9 win program. Nebraska failed in firing Bo. Fine, they didn't like the guy's operation. They should have had a much better coach lined up before firing a guy who cleaned up Callahan's mess and had them viewed as a very good program again.

They are joke now. Don't give me, "their losses were all close." We can beat them.

That depends on whether our coaches will gameplan to win rather than gameplanning not to be shut out.

"He would be better off with a gentler home where less is expected of him.
Despite his failures during his time in Nebraska, he is still unbelievably nice (almost to a fault). No matter what the situation, he can be seen with a smile, whether that's what you want from him or not. He is kind and calm, and won't disrupt you or upset anyone in charge of him with his behavior. But we are more than willing to give him away if anyone would like to take him."

Sounds like the perfect candidate for RU's next coach.
1. RU expect less than Nebraska.
2. No behavioral issues to upset anyone.
3. Low cost.

Go get 'em Julie.

That description matches my dog Mulligan.
Should I be waiting for Julie to contact us?

The guy's first season isn't even over yet.

Neither is our season, and the board is firing our coach. And one poster above does not care about "their losses were all close." So, what's the problem?

Would the board be less trigger happy if the Wisconsin game was a close loss? I suspect if we lost on a missed field goal, the mob would still run Flood out of town. Or worse yet, if it was a high scoring shootout and the game ended with a Laviano interception.

Don't worry Nebraska fans and Coach Riley, you play our defense in 2 weeks which means I'll be reading posts about how Nebraska's QB got rid of the ball in less than a second while their All-Pro WR's made "insane" catches. Their defense will also manage to channel the Steel Curtain while I read posts about how Carroo is hurt so that means Its unfair to expect our offense to score more than 10 points.
