I suppose that's true but I can't help but think he'd rather 2 teams than 1.

It likely can but the real question is whether he would use that influence for us or not.

favors for us in the past. I'd be skeptical of him starting, now.

I believe he would in this case. I think I remember reading he gets a rather large bonus if an sec team wins the national championship. Getting 2 teams in gives him a better chance.
