You don't have to pay by the letter here. What the hell does TOTW stand for? Tit on the Women? or what? I too old and lazy to figure out a pruzzle.

Bama and Florida...and history "bears" that out. But it is definitely close. They should compete for the title almost every year.

They had a little letdown after the title season, but they did go 9-4 last season- and will be 7-0 Saturday. That makes Miles 16-4 in his last 20 games, which is an .800 winning percentage. Thats pretty damn good.

I think it's very interesting to see how they finish this year with Auburn, Bama, and Arkansas.

They actually have MORE potential than Bama does. Louisiana produces more NFL players than Alabama does and LSU doesn't have to share them with another major in-state school. And historically, Florida was nothing special either until starting in the 1980s. But even there, Florida has to share all those recruits with 3 other BCS schools.

That is, if you take all the NFL draft picks from a given state and divide it by the number of BCS schools in that state, Louisiana is the highest number.

I'll admit that schools like Miami, with the Dade County concentration, and Ohio State, with Cincinnati as its lone BCS school competition in state, are at an advantage as well.

Ohio produces just barely more NFL talent than Louisiana though. Take a look at this for an the data:

LSU is a slam dunk job. You have the entire state recruiting for you, and you've got one of the hottest talent beds in all of the country as your home state. LSU should always be one of the top 4 teams in the SEC every year and should win the SEC title every 2-3 years at the very least.

LSU should be on par with an Ohio State in terms of its yearly results, but it's not there.
