I heard Snoop Dogg is going to be there. Drinking beer and listening to good bands has to be sports related somehow.

I don't know if I would use a word like "good" to describe the bands that play at the crawfish boil.

Gavin Degraw, Cowboy Mouth, 3 Doors Down, Candlebox, Finger 11, Good Charlotte...

Those are good bands by most accounts.

Same weekend as Jazz Fest & Memphis in May...

Is it the same this year? They need to move it toward end of May..

You most certainly need to define the word "good", because I personally think that all of those bands are mediocre at best.

Actually, scratch that; Cowboy Mouth and Candlebox are the only respectable bands - the others are pure crap.

They sell more albums than you...people buy them. Ultimately opinions are like ********...everyone has one, and they all stink. But all the bands I listed have been able to have/maintain careers in the music industry for more than a few years, and whether or not YOU like them, most people who are not music-nazis do, douche.

It's an annual thing they hold in Jackson every year. Mostly an excuse for Rankinites to gather and drink copious amounts of alcohol and listen to "good" music.

Simple music for a simple man - I understand.
that everyone has their own opinion? Yet you feel compelled to post like a pompous ***, like anyone on this board gives two ***** what your taste in music is...

Also, I didn't say I personally like any of them, I only said they are good bands by most accounts. What that means, in case you're too stupid to understand, is that they're capable of selling tickets to an event such as this...

Personally I hate country music, I think it's the music they play in hell. That doesn't mean I don't understand that Garth Brooks or whoever is popular in country today is gonna sell a lot of tickets.

Just get over yourself, nobody cares about your taste in music.

First off, thank you for clarifying that (in your mind) a "good" band is one that is able to draw a crowd to hear them play at a fairground.

Secondly, I really don't understand why you're letting my opinion chap your ***. I mean really, if nobody (including yourself) gives two ***** about my taste in music, then why do you continue to belabor the issue?

None of my comments have in any way tried to assert that my taste in music is superior to you or anyone else for that matter. Please, do us all a favor and pull the corncob out of your ***.

Everyone does have their own opinion, but most of the people I know are of the opinion that every band you mentioned 17ing sucks. Like someone said earlier, the Miller Lite Crawfish Boil is basically an excuse for the populations Pearl, Terry, Byram, and Florence to gather together in Jackson and listen to ****** music. Terrible facial hair, gold chains, and Affliction t-shirts should be in abundance that weekend.</p>

Gavin Degraw wasn't as gay as I figured he would be. He was actually good playing live. I enjoyed Good Charlotte and Cowboy Mouth are always kickass. I didn't get to go the 2nd night due to my wife power drinking sparks energy drinks (6% alcohol which she didn't think about) and getting ungodly hung over. I missed Finger Eleven (which was good when I saw them about 8 or 9 years ago). 3 doors down, I dont know if I missed anything or not. Most of their songs suck.

standing around a bunch of smelly kids from Florence doesn't sound like a good time to me.

First, sweet 17ing christ, you really are a douche. I don't know how many times I have to slap you in the face with the fact that I am saying 'by most accounts' not 'I love these bands.'

Second, you aren't chapping anybody's ***, you're just being a prick.

But don't sit there and try to tell me that "None of my comments have in any way tried to assert that my taste in music is superior to you or anyone else for that matter." because that's a flat out lie and you know it. Otherwise you wouldn't have felt the need to comment in the first place, now would you? Tell yourself whatever you want, but you are now arguing in circles...it's called a logical fallacy. You may need to look that up.

you do make one good point, though...why do I belabor the issue? I'm done feeding the trolls for today...piss off.
