So Purdue won game 1 and are up 5-0 in game 2 ....When exactly does game 2 Nebraska -Penn St start? I have seen 3 different times....also we suck, the conference sucks, no one wants to win it so why not go out there and beat a really bad team twice so we get a mens championship trophy in something

That's correct. We both have 2 games left after each of us losing our respective game 1. We would need to have one more win than Minn over these last 2 games each we play. So you're saying there's a chance???
After this game, Minnesota only has one game left. The best they can finish is 16-8, whereas we can finish 16-7-1.
Correction, they'll be 14-8 after this current game, best they can finish is 15-8. They only played 2 of their 3 games against Rutgers.

I don't believe that's the case. They only had 2 scheduled with Rutgers. They are finishing up their 23rd game. Tomorrow makes 24 games. At least based on the schedule I looked at.

Thanks for clarifying. Could not remember who it was but I remember that they only played SOMEONE twice which I thought was odd.
It's simple now. If we win the final 2 games with Penn State, we win the conference.

They played a game against Michigan out of conference in the middle of the season. It was kind of weird but doesn't count towards their conference record.
We've done that before too. Played a game against Minnesota at the Dairy Queen Classic several years ago that didn't count in the conference standings.
Yeah, I remember there was somebody we did that with in the Big 12, but I couldn't remember who it was.

The Gophers never played Michigan this year. They did play Iowa out of conference in the Dairy Queen classic and beat them and didn't play them during the B1G season.
